Alright, I've wondered this for awhile, but I figure here's a good place to ask!

When standing at a urinal, why do some men undo their belt, their top button and their fly just to hang a leak?!?!?! :confused:

I think it probably goes back to how you may have been trained as a kid, might even be an age (or era) related thing. Some people stand so close to the urinal that I am surprised they don't get splash back.

I find it much easier to unfasten than to go diggin', especially if the pants are tight and you'd just about need a crowbar to pry the thing out in the first place.

Zips I do not fear, but sometimes with a button fly on tight trousers it's easier to undo the lot.

However, I did once see a guy at a urinal undo his belt, top button & fly and then drop his trousers & pants down to his ankles. What's that about?

if i wear jeans they are usually baggy so i just undo my belt and i can get the goods out. if i wear dress pants i might have to unclip the waist and unzip depending on how my weight fluctuates

I have never done this.
I just unzip. I leave the button and belt alone.
And if there was any way around it, I wouldn't unzip in a public bathroom if I could help it. Dreadfully unsanitary places. I'd rather hold it till I get home, unless I just absolutely have to go.

I also rarely use the urinals in favor of the toilets. More privacy, more space.

I wear tracksuit trousers a lot of the time and I need to pull the front of the trousers down a little as there is no zip.

I usually just go into the cubicle anyway unless there is a really bad smell.

If I'm wearing a belt, then just the fly comes down.

If no belt, then button and fly comes down.

Boxers always get shifted down, I never undo the button on the boxer fly.
