This week, Paul and his son visit Dragon*Con, spending quality time together while bonding through one of the most time honored traditions known to fathers everywhere - using your three year old son to score photos of costumed women.

Great article I was laughing the whole way through. And I am amazed you made it out alive with your wife watching that. Funny stuff.

Your wife is a saint!
She is not Nigh Perfect for nothing. Like I mentioned, she has become resigned to the crazy life we live, and rolls her eyes every time I tell her I'm going to do something stupid "for the sake of the column." Little Dude, on the other hand, thinks it is all quite normal. And he's definitely going to thank me when he's sixteen.

Is there really an amputee story?
Does anyone have a link?
Does it end with Paul feeling as much a dick as Mark Millar did (http://www.bleedingcool.com/2009/10/28/mark-millarsteve-mcniven-announce-new-project-on-friday-millar-verbally-assaults-disabled/) after trying to look tough in front of his daughter?
Hilarious column by the way.

I have discovered that in lieu of a "Nigh Perfect" or a "Little Dude" (for my girlfriend will neither visit a con nor bare me a progeny.... yet) a buddy with a camera and liter of rum n' coke are plenty enough to attract oneself a bevy of vivacious vixens

Who rocks the double-thumbs-up? ... yeah I rock the double-thumbs-up!

Very Genius. Please feel free to submit Klingon pictures anytime you like. And by "Klingon" I mean "crazy person with a lump of clay on their head."

I have some great friends who are 'crazy people with lumps of clay on their foreheads'.
That said, the best story out of them is when a young friend of theirs decided he wanted a Klingon name too.
He went around for months proudly announcing that his Klingon name was F'khed before he finally caught on.

Isn't that the Tardis? Hey Paul, I'm from Northampton, MA. We've actually met a few times.

Ouch.
That one really hurt.
Even knowing the punchline, and that it must it must be a doozy, that still shocked the heck out of me at how quite bad that was.
Funny, funny stuff.

I miss Northampton. And if we met and you remember me fondly I can assume you are not an amputee?

I am not an amputee. I worked at the now defunct Vermont Country Deli and you gave me some advice on comic writing.

These columns are as funny as ever, I had all but forgotten them, but I'm very happy they aare back an dI have almost as much fun reading the old ones again, as I had the first time.

I shall now spend the rest of the week thanking numerous deities, as well as thanking no one at all (I'm an agnostic, you see) that "deliberate mistake burger-bun-hair Leia" wasn't "deliberate mistake slave-costume-Leia" instead!

I have asked Nigh Perfect to dress up as Slave Leia. God knows I have asked. But no luck so far. Little Dude seems willing to give it a shot but it's just not the same.
