Michael P has a yen:
She's not known for those types of roles, but I find her sexy, and it doesn't hurt to try and branch out.
She can be cute when she smiles, but mostly she's a stick with a default bitchy expression. She'd look absolutely ridiculous in skin-tights.

jessecuster3 shouldn't think this is new:
Oh you poor, pathetic Michiganders, part 2.
In what might be considered a new low for the housing market, a home in Detroit sold for $1.
The home, located at 8111 Traverse Street, close to the Detroit City Airport, was foreclosed upon last summer, after it was purchased for $65,000 in 2006, according to an article in The Detroit News.
The bank was so eager to sell the foreclosed property, it lowered the price to $1 in a final attempt to find a buyer. According to the newspaper, 14 days after the property was listed for $1, a local woman purchased the house as “an investment property." The property taxes will run the new owner $3,900, in 2009.
At the time of sale, the home had been stripped of its siding, fence, light fixtures, copper plumbing—even the kitchen sink had been taken. Boards that were used to board up the windows were also stolen and used to board up a house down the street, according to The Detroit News.
Ha! To be honest, that could have been a Detroit story any time in the last 40 years and one wouldn't have noticed.

I've seriously only seen that stuff in regard to comic books. I have never encountered it before and I find stuff like that fascinating. As you said, however, it unfortunately ended too soon.
.
Ohh well it happens all the time. You would have gotten a kick outta Chuck Austen back in the day.
You don't get to complain, TNA lover!
Hey TNA just had a good PPV. Even with HULKAMANIA running wild there soon , TNA had a pretty solid PPV from the news online I read.
I like the one that states that "Everyone who likes that guy that I don't understand is only pretending to like him to seem clever or cool".
Thats pretty funny. I never got that reason. If I like a creator , popular or not ...its because the work they did made me a fan.
I'm not that shocked.
Last time I've seen him was at a Rudy Giuliani party, during his failed campaign for President. He ripped on Al Gore a lot in his opener.
.
Ohh yeah and Vince McMahon is a huge Republican backer. Its said that leading up to the Election in 2008 , everyone knew better to wear a Barack Obama pin or even discuss him in the WWE offices. Kevin Dunn (producer) wore a John McCain pin showing support and Vince was very happy for that.
So I can see why Dennis Miller as a Republican is there.

Really well-executed slow-burn, unfolding mystery story.
And for the most part, except for one issue where he encounters Spider-Man and She-Hulk, no real ties to the Marvel Universe at large.

The original miniseries was fantastic.
Really well-executed slow-burn, unfolding mystery story.
And for the most part, except for one issue where he encounters Spider-Man and She-Hulk, no real ties to the Marvel Universe at large.
When it first came out, I was buying each issue off the shelves and my friends and I were wracking our brains trying to figure out where it was going.
I mostly recall just going ooh and aah a lot at the art... it was breathtaking for its time.

Has there been a definitive theory on how Loeb can be so hated, yet sells pretty well?
I never heard a word against him until Ultimatum, where he killed a bunch of superheroes.
And there's nothing to get fanboys into a witch-burning frenzy like someone killing their favourite character.
Just like nobody hated Miller before Civil War, and nobody hated Chuck Austen before he wrote X-Men.
Fanboy scorn is pretty much (entitlement + hysterical rage).

Austen was a writer and someone who had a legion of X-Fans wanting to kill him. It was funny...even today some online hate him still.

When did that happen? Have I not been paying enough attention all this time? Maybe I just never understood enough of his obscure references.
He's a big political guy on Fox News. It shocks me he'd do this. The WWE isn't the bastian of political correctness ya know.
The problem being that I don't actually care about the sexual proclivities or relationships of any mutants or really about any mutants at all. Well except for Longshot, I kind of adore Longshot.

- E2 Superman suffers his biggest loss ...Lois Lane. His sadness and scream of losing her.....makes him lash out. He admits how wrong he was after Wonder Woman and company calm him. It made me sad reading how this hero had basically moved planets and ate kryptonite...but he couldn't save the woman he loved.
- In a scene that was supposed to be the death of Dick Grayson... Batman has the gun in his hand from a battle. He is overcome with anger over losing Dick...and holds the gun to Alex Luthor's head....ready to pull the trigger. Wonder Woman stops him from it.
I also loved the audiobook.

How do you even do that without revealing his identity?
Repeat the same dumb monologue caption over and over... "My dad burned me once...." and then use new words. It was just dumb. I mean ...jesus...page after page of this. And Red Hulk sounds like a fucking moron as he details this , while he's blind and running from a pissed group wanting to end him.
Mini-rant-thing here:
I kind of feel cheated by Outsiders. I got it initially for Batman And--, but that went away. Then I thought it was awesome that Alfred was in charge, but I fear that's just going away too...
How many times are they going to pull a "Brand New Direction" with that book?
Yeah same here. I bought the 1st issue of Dixon's Outsiders. But hell , once I heard he was being fired , I never bought anymore. Its the same with his Robin run. I jumped back on that...and he was fired within 3 issues of it.
Weird. You'd think I'd've seen it before this, but no.
I mean, I heard comics fans complaining about Loeb, but that just means they're still breathing.
His superhero stuff never struck me as being any more loathed than Judd Winnick, or Mark Millar, or Brian Michael Bendis, or... I dunno, anyone writing more than one Marvel or DC comic.
Yeah , I don't hate Loeb. I think he's batting a bad streak right now. But can turn things around. JMS to me for awhile sucked. His last 30 issues of Spider-Man sucked bad. His Thor ...not my cup of tea. But then he started on Brave and the Bold....and bam. I felt he was back telling good stories again.
what the fuck. I got my ex showing intense interesting in my sex life. Another telling me I can "sleep over" anytime. Another ex asking me to come over and visit her
All of these happen in the past 24 hours. What did they all have a meeting and decide they all wanted to sleep with me again
BREED THEM . BREED THEM ALL ! That way you can start your own Mormon group. They can be your wives.

I always liked the more human stories myself. The only moment in Final Crisis I liked....was the scene where Superman is in the hospital with Lois holding her hand. She was badly hurt.... and Jimmy Olsen goes : "I wonder where Superman is ?"
That to me was very human. I like those moments. I also loved the light hearted fare like SUPERBUDDIES and Booster Gold too.

1.) Mary-Jane : In 605 we see angry bitter mode.
2.) Michelle : Crazy pyscho bitch mode .

There is no strong female characters in the book. They all come at these levels sadly. Michelle is the craziest one , where Marvel had basically a near rape scene involving the character and Chameleon as Peter Parker.

I really think the best new rogue that Johns made was the new Zoom. Hunter Zolomon as Zoom wants to show Wally West in his twisted way what sacrifices must be made to be a better hero. Its twisted as hell. But I liked that Hunter was a good man as a criminal profiler who sadly went wrong .
In all those stand alone rogue issues Johns did of Flash , I loved the twisted reasons each one went the way they did. From Captain Cold's abusive father ...and how the only person Snart ever loved in his life...was his sister. I loved that issue (Flash #182) .

My problem isn't that 'grim, gritty' superheroics exists, just that 99% of tights 'n' fights comics are about the main character feeling powerless, miserable and conflicted.
Like I say, I don't have a problem with that per se, just that fact that there's very little by way of alternatives, and most of it is so fuck-awful. So much of it reads like teenage emo poetry, "Oh everything's horrible, Why am I so powerless? If only girls would let me touch their boobs!"
