View Full Version : The Torch #3 *Spoilers*
Finally! Jim Hammond breaks free from AIM's control & Toro gets his powers back. The Thinker is a worthy foe to The Torch. Carey, Ross & the rest of the creative team have crafted a story that feels Golden Age but at the same time brings the Torch into the modern MU. I miss the GA Vision that appeared in #1. Next issue: Namor!!

You and I might be the only people reading this book, :)
I am going to stick with it, but its a bit too slow paced for me as they could have gotten Torch's resurrection, brainwashing and freedom out of the way in two issues.
Next issue will be fun a Torch/ Namor battle but at these prices I shouldn't have to wait four issues to be entertained.

I am absolutely loving this mini. I'm liking the explanation of the connection between the Torch and Toro's powers. And Mad Thinker is finally living up to his potential. I don't think I've seen him handled this well since the original New Warriors series.
I did however groan when the fish exposed to Compound D just happened to swim past Namor and a group of Atlanteans... The oceans are a huge place, yet anytime anything happens in the water, Namor just happens to be swimming by. A well, I can handle a co-incidence or two for the sake of a good story.

This was a great issue. I don't know who is more bad ass, the Torch, Toro or the Mad Thinker.

Yeah this is a great series, finally a series that actually means something to continuity.
Ive only read issue # 2 and I just could believe how great the cvr was,
I'm in love with this and the Marvel Projects series, its sort of restored my faith that not all comics from Marvel have Xmen in.
Both of these series are a must.
Oh by the way can anyone remember the 4 part Human Torch series from a few yrs ago, this one told the true origin and history of the Original Human Torch.
