View Full Version : Mythology Based Superheroes
What other books do you read that feature heroes that have roots in mythology?
Marvel's Thor &/or Hercules?
Dynamite's Athena?
Other books I don't know about?

Hellboy is by far one of my favorite books, I love the mix of action, folklore and mythology.

I read Incredible Herc and Thor (as well as the current Dark Avengers: Ares miniseries). The former is probably my favourite thing on the market, the latter two are enjoyable (though I think JMS' run is overrated).

Most of the members of the Order are based off members of the Greek Pantheon. There were two women who were meant to represent Athena and Artemis, but they were both fired from the team.

Sandman had a lot of mythological aspects to it from different cultures, very good spins on some of them.
