Haven't watched NBC Thursdays for years. Last I saw they had The Office and 2 Office clones. Not my cup of tea. The network is in last place for this cheap should work strategy.

I will admit, I do like "Community", but the setup in the episode plotwork doesn't help it in the long run.

Also, "30 Rock" has its own problems: it seems that it strikes gold with every Alec Baldwin scene, but staggers elsewhere. In spite of the Emmys, this show isn't exactly going to net the casual fans.

I will admit this: I do like "the Jay Leno Show" in moderate doses.

If this thread was started in the early 90s, then I totally agree. If it's more recent than that, congrats on the OP being born/getting their 1st TV...

I'm not sure it's the best primetime line up ever, but it's very, very good. Community has started out strong (Halloween episode was especially funny), Parks and Rec has found its feet (and given Aziz some time finally), The Office is still strong (a little weak after the wedding, though), and 30 Rock may be the funniest show on TV ('Laser shield" has become my new catchphrase). Thursday is great for comedy because then you can flip over to fX for Always Sunny and The League, which got off to a pretty good start last week.

(Although I have to confess that I just DvR them, and watch college football or the MLB playoffs most Thursday nights.)

Honestly, I prefer CBS's comedies (even New Christine and Gary Unmarried). However, I admit that I haven't seen an episode of Community or Parks and Rec. Sorry, but I find The Office completely unfunny. I don't think I've managed even a chuckle from any episode I've seen.

I like Community well enough. It's a casual watch with some laughs but I've no vested interest in any of the characters. I enjoy the antics and shit but I don't actually care about any of them.

I still love 30 Rock even if this isn't it's strongest season so far.

The Office is alright. The lady likes it so we watch it but it doesn't mean much to me, personally.

Parks and Recreation is a pile of crap from what I was able to tollerate. Just not my thing. Faux-Office.

Parks & Rec totally apes the The Office's style, but it's been growing on me. The characters are distinctive enough, and it follows them outside the workplace more.

Community I've only seen once, but it seemed pretty good.

I don't think The Office will ever match the perfection of its second and third seasons, but it's still quite funny.

30 Rock is hit and miss for me.

What's that from?
