It's a great picture. My eye is first drawn to the whiskey bottle, then swings up the arm to sunglasses, around the sky back around the car and from the flat tire up her leg back to her face. She's has a great expression and emits oodles of personality. The music component feels secondary here, the picture is about HER and music is just a part of her and the guitar could have just as easily been a bow and arrow, or anything really.

It's a fun picture with shock value and Ozzy's face is well done. But to me, the picture seems to be a lot more about popular culture and again music seems to be a secondary component in the piece.

This one has music front and center. there is a sense of movement with the figure and the patterned background and notes help keep the picture feeling more like a snapshot of a movement in time. Good use of the notes as well to help the comic-reading brain get into the mood. I actually think that the caption "Air Guitar is awesome" detracts from the picture. The placement breaks my eyeflow around the picture and then I go back to check the airplaying stance as opposed to the first thought of someone just rocking it out and enjoying himself.

I have to echo howy's comment from the posting thread. I love the line work. My eye flows around the picture really well and it keeps coming back to her face again and again. I really didn't know how to react at first to her eye being just the white but the more I look at the picture, the more I like that choice. It really adds to the feeling that the subject is off in her own world. The hello kittyish detail on the headphone is another great touch, adding a bit of whimsy . To me, this picture is all about her relationship with the music and the picture has a great feel about it.
I voted for starkoryan81 because it was the picture that evoked the strongest music reaction in me.

I am going to have to give my vote to Starkoryan, simply because that was just the epitome of losing oneself in music, the lines were beautiful and nothing detracted from the overall idea of music.
I figure its probably better I didn't enter after all, between Howy and Stark. I may as well be SOL...

I'm gonna have to vote for starkoryan81. The art's amazing, and I could actually picture one of my friends rocking out to music that way, sans white eyes of course.

I dunno about that secondary thing, though. She was designed right from the start to be a rock chick - the clothes, the hair, the booze, the attitude.
And on a trivial note, the bullethole pattern was meant to suggest sheet music.
