Yes! After last DW issue's lack of Daken, I'm glad he's getting out-of-costume time in #81.

I've got to remember to pick this up. I've only bought a single issue but I loved it.

"Hey, what's not to love about Deadpool? He's a walking Deus Ex Machina. "

I love how Alonso gave the answer to his own question.

Hmmm, so Silver Samurai is back, and apparently he has his hand back, or it could be a bionic. Hopefully they touch upon that b/c last I recall seeing him, he was handless in New Avengers. I've always kinda liked the character and his powers [I chalk it up to that old X-Men arcade fighter game] and he always seems to get short-shrifted. It's especially annoying when his allegiances seem to change every appearance. One moment he's "good" and the next, he's "bad" again. I kinda want him to join the X-Men (I liked him on the AoA team) if only to have him be on the side of good for an extended time period.

Why didn't they just give Deken his own series and call it Dark Wolverine?

You mispelled his name. :/

They did. Do you mean why did they take over Wolverine's old title to do it?

but with the recent launch of Wolverine: Weapon X, I rather suspect that this is the soft launch of an ongoing Daken series, which will get a more sensible name once Dark Reign is out of the way. (No doubt with a shiny new #1.)
__________

The most important things I took from this is that his story will continue after Dark Reign ends and that Marjorie Liu plans to be a part of these plans. Which works for me.

And that Cammuncoli has really grown on me.

Yes i don't get why they did what they did with the Wolverine book. Wolverine: Weapon X should not exist that story could be told in the Wolverine tittle at 2.99. And Wolverine's Son could have his own on-going or Mini and Still be selling well with the name Dark Wolverine.

Sorry about the spelling error with his name I'm not to keen of him anyway.

Because this forces Wolverine completists to read about Daken until they really do give him his own series, and there's no way to read Marjorie's version of the character and not become a fan.

Here's hoping that after Dark Reign and Wolverine: Origins end next year they can leave well enough alone and not add another Wolverine book or shuffle titles around again.

The shuffling around I can understand being annoyed by (assuming you were reading Wolverine when it shifted focus from Logan to Daken), but why would you care if they add another Wolverine book? Just don't read it.

You don't have to buy all the Hulk, Spider-man, Superman, Batman and, yes, Wolverine solo books that are produced. Just get the ones you want and ignore the rest. I promise you can ignore Wolverine Origins or Dark Wolverine or even Wolverine: Weapon X (if you have poor taste, that is), as they are all pretty self-contained. Nothing that happens in those books is generally ever referenced anywhere else.

Oh, how I want D'Ken to pop up and be all SURPRISE! That little bitch didn't really kill me! I was just faking!

I forgot about Romulus and Way writing a Wolverine book until I read this interview. I think this was for the better, since right now the bigger picture is like suddenly scoring a tolerable job with a decent salary (Deadpool) and inherently awesome health and dental benefits (Daken, Marjorie Liu), but still having to moonlight at your old moving company job (Wolverine: Origins) for two more weeks. Exhausting.
