Hey guys! Did you notice that in that one comic, Iceman had light brown hair, and yet in that other comic it was sorta blonde and then in yet another comic it was dark brown? What is up with that?!

And in the Psylocke thread her retina colour is a contentious issue. It appears that different colourists are colouring her eyes differently! Don't Marvel's editorial care enough to prevent these glaring continuity errors from happening?

Xavier's Misprint noticed this henious error which has just totally sapped all of the enjoyment I could have obtained from Lethal Legion with Necra not being the right kinda Albino

Here's the difference.

In-costume:

Out of costume:

And don't even get me started on M of Sunspot. Even the slightest cameo of these minor supporting characters in any comic can derail a thread for weeks while we post pictures of every single appearance of them since their introduction to highlight a sinister trend of inconsistency.

I miss the days when it was all so simple, we could endlessly debate whether Anole was "the correct shade of green" and nobody got butthurt, except maybe some butthurty Anole fans who were kinda butthurty anyway, being Anole fans and all.

So, feel free to pounce upon any ambiguity in colouring issues in X Men comics and analyse it to death!

I'm pretty sure the UK spelling will drive most people away.

They even screwed up the color of Nekra's tears.

Didnt you know that Albinoes cry ink?

No scene in a Frank Tieri comic counts, ever, for anything.

I think that is probably mascara. Sotomayer can't be faulted for that.

If we are going to trash him for anything it should really be for ignoring decades of continuity and retconning Necra's skin colour into make up.

Jean Grey's varicose veins are rarely shown. Is this a coloring error?

Maybe a result of the powerful pro-Phoenix lobby. A perceived sleight on her character may be enough for them to spend their comics dollars elsewhere.

For Psylocke, she only makes you think her eye color is different. It's an illusion.

Nekra has apparently taken to wearing a blue costume some of the time, with the same patterns and cape as her regular one.

With Sunspot, it's related to his solar-absorption powers. If he starts getting low, he becomes paler, in order to absorb more energy.

Breaking News!

Guido has been colored to look black in the X-Factor #200 prologue.

Can someone post an Italian skin color wheel along with a sample scan from every appearance of Strong Guy?

Monet's invulnerability has increased over the years. Now her out layer of dead skin cells are so impervious that sunlight can't breach all the way to the melanin.

He's a "guido." That's just spray on tan.

I only came here for that spelling.

Synch is coloured blue/grey-ish now, I bet.

Perhaps Marvel doesn't have a basic colour chart for characters doc. Shame! Shame on them! >:(
