Last weekend I attended the Rock-n-Shock Horror/Heavy Metal convention in Worcester, MA. It was an awesome show with celebrity guests and heavy metal heavyweights. I was there to sell art prints and do sketches. I ended up drawing attendees as zombies. I was booked solid for all three days. The Boston Phoenix taped me Zombie-fying a vendor so check it out. It's very cool.

Zombie-fied!!! (http://thephoenix.com/BLOGS/laserorgy/archive/2009/10/23/rock-amp-shock-post-mortem.aspx)

Wow Dogboy, excellent show! I will have to get used to your name 'though, since you are Dogboy...

Sounds like a con-thing I'd love to go to, provided any metal heavyweights are more like Mastodon instead of Mötley Crue (which give me the cooties).

And it's interesting how the internet-person wrote 'sketching for a sawbuck'! In the old days (say 1680-1800) sawed-in silver coins were the thing to treat sick cattle with (for scraping muck off of wounds). Like zombies maybe too I suppose.

Love the artwork you created! If you'll pardon the comparison, it's reminiscent of Eric Powell's style a bit to me. Regardless, great rendition!

Funny you mention Eric because when I was drawing Dogs-O-War for Crusade Entertainment in the mid 1990's, Eric panted the cover from one of my layouts and he inked the entire book in record time. Too bad Crusade had money problems and the artwork was seized by one of their creditors and I never saw the cover or the entire ever again.
