I'm reading Uncanny X-Men #202, and Magneto is using Cerebro when Wolverine confronts him about messing with the magnetic fields of the Earth to create psychic interference. When did that happen?

It was way back....during classis Byrne run.....can't remember when but it was a set-up to allow the X-men to go globe-trotting while Telepaths,Xavier and Jean, thought they were dead(Ther were unable to detect the X-men at long distances because of 'Neto's tampering....Not 100% sure of that but 99%!!
