If Blob joined the X-Men....

If Blob joined the X-Men from his invitation in his first appearance and stayed with them would it change is personality and how would it affect storylines?

Regardless of what era of X-Men, what team he was serving on, or what the status of his powers have been, one thing has remained consistent.

The Blob is a selfish, rude, arrogant dick.


Why change that now?

He would've spent countless hours training in the Danger Room and would now have six-pack abs like everyone else on the team.

well I think we would of got hours of hilarity as Wolverine would go for a late night snake but find the fridge empty thanks to Blobby. Maybe Iceman and Blob would develop a buddy relationship and take on crime together. Maybe Husk instead of going out with old money bags Worthington would of done it on the ground with Blob.

What would of Blob's squad been like if he was a teacher during the Academy X era?

It was a terrible idea and then some writers who were in the know fixed it by making him a villain again.

If he wasn't in prison at the time of the All New, All Different team, it would've been interesting to see if Xavier would've taken a chance on sending him, or even Mimic to Krakoa. Because when Xavier tried to recruit him in Uncanny #3? Man, did he rub the O5 the wrong way. Mostly because he wanted to rub "it" on Jean Grey.

Then he came back with a lynch mob of carnies. All kinds of drama.

Yeah, him and the whole rest of the O5 wanted to rub "it" on Jean Grey. Snobs that they were though, they were just put off by it because he was a total lardass. No one seemed to have a problem with Warren, Scott, and the rest of the gang sporting BISP's for Jeanie. But, coming back with carnies in tow would pretty much be the final nail for any chances of wearing the blue and gold.

I thought Juggs was the best part of Austen's run, but Blob is too unattractive to be an X-man. Even Beast looks kind of cool.
