In many an Elseworld tale, as well as in continuity (when there was such a thing), Diana has been shown to procreate with the end result being a girl. Most recently we saw this in Gail's run. With Superman, she had a girl in the Dark Knight sequel, and of course, the Earth-2 Diana had Lyta, the some-time-Fury. An exception occurs in the follow-up to Kingdom Come, but it is the only one I am aware to exist.
We may yet get a male POV in the book with Warkiller or Steve Trevor. Although I am not an advocate for a "Wonder Boy," what would be the ramifications of a boy being raised on Paradise Island? In your opinion, if Diana were to procreate, would a boy or a girl tell more compelling stories, and why?

I've been one who wanted to see a wonder Boy for a while, it'd be awesome, even if he wasn't powered like say Bobby Barnes.
As for a boy being raised on the island it wouldn't be all that different since it's not like the Amazons hate men, they (particularly the Bana Migdhall) just hate some of the things men could and used to do and to an extent still do, basically they'd do the same they did for Diana, teach about good and evil etc...
In One Elseworld's when all the men die and only Superman and Luthor remain Themyscira was used as a nursery for all the super children that the heroines had via in vitro fertilization with Superman.

You think correctly then, as story ideas go it can't really go right. But it had some fun ideas. Wonderwoman more or less became the leader of Earth over night because of it, war was abolished etc...
A bunch of heroines volunteered as attempts to make sure Earth had another generation of heroes or somesuch (I assume normal folks simply used sperm banks which tend to be forgotten or nuked in stories like this)
Though Wondie herself wasn't one of the heroines who did so to my knowledge.

I second the Fury love with the passion of a thousand burning suns. I never liked Steve Trevor but I loved Fury.

Maybe I'm just in a weird mood after hearing the kids sing "It's a good thing we've got Arkham, cause he really drives us Bats!" over and over...
But a thread about Elseworlds (or pre-Elseworlds) Wonder offspring would not be complete without bringing up the Dumb Bunny, would it?

I think both genders have real potential. A girl is great cause we'd get to see a little warrior in the making...nurtured by Diana but the thought of WW with a son ,especially seeing where she came from, is also quite a sweet irony.
Diana has 3 daughters with Superman and 2 sons in earth 22 (kingdom Come Universe). What a crazy house that would be huh?
Do you all remember Project A-ko? It's not DC per say but shows potential of what a WW kid could do.
That fiesty little red head was the daughter of Supes and Wondy according to its creators and she was so funny and wow could kick butt.
