In the latest Secret Six, Bane usurped leadership of the team and kicked out Scandal.

I suspect that Bane was hired by Vandal Savage to protect Scandal and eventually undermine her position in the SS, presumably to make her more inclined to work with her father.

Considering the way that he and the whole book has been written thus far, I not only find this less plausible, but rather disappointing if it turned out to be the case.

Although Bane's a genius, he doesn't have to be to notice that the last couple of cases since he joined have been...well flops.

He's taking over cause he wants to get it making cash again, and to help out Scandal get her bearings.

He's surprisingly the most empathic of the secret six.
