THE STORY:
Will Kang Conquer the Guardians? Rocked by the aftershocks of War of Kings, Star-Lord’s team – now castaways across shattered timelines – are desperate to find a route home before all possible futures fuse into one dark nightmare! Guest-starring the original Guardians of the Galaxy (sort of) and the infamous time-traveling despot who may be their only hope! Yes, it’s more sci-fi shenanigans from the book that has ComicBookResources.com raving, “Abnett and Lanning do an amazing job of delivering a quick-moving, jam-packed, high-octane, bombastic epic.” Rated T …$2.99

f'n awesome
It's funny... but anytime I see Kang now, the first thing that pops in my head is that it's Cassie Langs ex.
Anyways, it's always fun to see stories where Kang is a "goodguy." Gives me an Avengers Forever vibe.

I love DnA's writing but am hating the art. Why? This sucks I don't wanna be negative about this title. Argh.

I'm still SO jealous I didn't get to draw this one. Oh, well. Wes kicked ass on it. This issue is gonna punch people in the face. It tops issue 17. Mark my words!

The concluding few pages of 17 were outstanding. Keep up the good work.

Love Wes Craig's art. I've really warmed to it. I know it's not to everybody's taste, but I'd rather see quirky art with an individual look and style than badly done photorealistic work. Luckily, this title has had two great artists drawing the two subplots. Bet you really are jealous Craig got to draw the reunion issues, Brad Walker! That said, Brad, the work you did on issue 17 kicked major ass!!

Guess you just joined to be positive, huh? Perhaps you need to buy more copies, help it out. Not sure it helps to be hyping a hypothetical demise...

Even though I don't drool over Wes's art as much as yours, Brad, I appreciate the guy for the offbeat talent he is. I think you guys are a good mix for the book.
So what is Magus doing? Merging all "futures" into his?

So what is Magus doing? Merging all "futures" into his? That's what Kang's saying.
Of course, he's notoriously unreliable.

I am going to keep sticking with this book for the long haul. But I am underwhelmed by the art. I actually like Wes Craig's art better from the issues he did with Phyla and Drax searching for Moondragon. But it seems to have changed slightly and now I'm not enjoying it. Was there a different colorist or inker on those issues or something?

I agree with that Mightness. I actully didn't mind it at all in the Drax/Phyla story, but god how I have hated it with the current Guardians story. Its like he went out of his way to be very different, and the results have been aweful. Either that or this is he real style the Drax/Phyla issue are the exception. If he had stayed with the first style I would not have had any problem with his last few issues.
As it is I will just be happy to been done with Craig for a while when this arc is over.

I'll agree, too. The Phylla story was reminicent of those really wild Mar-Vell stories from the 70's and the strange art style worked for the nightmare kind of setting. Here I am not feeling it, but Brad Walker's back next issue so all will be wonderful again.
edited: Followed the newsarama link.. I think Walker actually got BETTER!
I think that both of them are getting better with every issue.

Wow. I didn't even realize it was him back then. Yes something definitely has changed then as I didn't find the art so unbearable then.

I can not wait for you to come back...This is my favorite book, and the style Wes uses is not my cup of tea.

Easy now... I know he's not to everyone's taste, but perhaps wait for the printed copy to judge Wes Craig's work? I've found that the lower resolution preview files don't do his work justice. But I do like his style, and so I may be biased.
is it just me
