And my favorite captain is Kenpachi. He's too awesome to not be.

I wish you could do multiple votes.

My favorites of the thirteen captain members would come down to between two people. Mayuri and Soi Fon. Can't decide.

Mayuri for his creativity and demeanor. The things about him that compels me. Soi Fon, she's just oh so hot. Plus I like her attitude.

speaking of popularity contests-- why, exactly, is Hitsugaya SO POPULAR in Japan? I mean, it's cool that he cares about Hinamori and stuff-- and he's got a decent fighting ability-- but he just didn't grab me the way that Byakuya or Kenpachi did. with the very few seens that Shunsui has had I find him more interesting.

so why the love of Hitsugaya? is something getting lost in translation-- or is it because he looks like a little kid and younger audiences can relate to him more?

He is a white haired, bishie shota, with an ICE DRAGON. It is impossible for him not to be popular in Japan.

Voted Kenpachi; out of all of the captains, I'm most interested in what's going on when he's present. Mayuri and Komamura were close behind, though.

Hard decision. In the end I chose Hitsugaya because I really like watermelons too. :'D

I would have also picked Byakuya or Kenpachi.
