This is by far, the best LIST book because it was the most thought out plot, and included a host of characters, besides Banner. I can't believe this was a Greg Pak book, considering Pak vacillates from one scene to another, in apparent aimlessness, as I remember in Planet Hulk. But here? It was a triumph, if this was the intended goal. All the LIST books should have been done by Pak.

Best showing of Victoria Hand in the Dark Reign since DA #1, when she was introduced. She fights Dr Wainsborough, and she faces off against Banner and dupes him.

I cannot believe Bruce Banners dues ex machina of everything Osborn chucks at him. All except one. Vicky has made one masterful play that Bruce didn't anticipate, and now he's infected by nanobots, and is ready to Hulkify, and when he does, Skaar wants to obliterate him.

We see Osborns List again, and on it he has circled - kill Namor.

If you thought the December solicits are a riot of chaos, the January solicits are doubly a cacophony of multiple forces. You better have a lot of money, because the Marvel books are exploding with Siege, Hulks and Olympus, as well as the return of the Cap and Thor books.

This book sets up the World War Hulks arc, I think. You must get this.

Victoria is hard core; even when she's losing.

so their plan to get rid of the Hulk, was turn Banner back into the Hulk?

Osborn is making enemies where he doesn't need to. I'm sure Banner and Skaar would have been fine with leaving him alone.

Yeah. You think this may have been a flawed plan? I'm not convinced Skaar has it in him to off his father, just like that. It remains to be seen how that plays out, if Skaar has Hulk down and has the opportunity to kill him.

Osborn: Mister President, I think i've finally found away to defeat the Hulk

President: How so Mr Osborn?

Osborn: Remember my report about how Banner was depowered by the Red Hulk?

President: My god! you mean to tell me you've found a way to make it permanent?

Osborn: No sir, i've found a way to give him his powers back.

President:.........what?

Osborn: Yes sir, not only have i given him his powers back, but i've also manipulated his own unstable teenage offspring with the mentality of a child into trying to kill him.

I wonder if this List book comes before the Iron Man #19 book? In that, Vicky comes across as a failure for not keeping prisoners. Not sure if you can label her a failure for letting Dr Wainsborogh escaping, in this book, too. But she sure redeemed herself after wards. If I didn't know better, I'd swear she was the Black Widow wearing a 'Hand' wig. For two books to come out in the same week showcasing Hand and Natasha, it shows a certain amount of contradiction from book to book. I could be wrong, but Hand had a remarkable transformation from Fraction to Pak.

I think I have to realize too, that IIM is probably written way before Utopia and the LIST, and IIM #19 is probably only 3 weeks after SI, while LIST is probably 4 months after SI, so things have changed in between.

Man, if he thinks he's killing two birds with one stone, then Osbron really is crazy.

Yeah, that's the kind of plan you might want to sit down, take a deep breath, and consider the many, many ways it could come back and @#$% you.

All in all a great issue though. Loved the tech-duel between Banner and Hand and Skaar sprinking Banner with that Gamma-irradiated Fairy Dust. Though curiously enough Banner implied that he would become the Hulk sooner or later anyway, the nanites will just expediate the process. Lol, I hope Banner got the specs of that Time Bomb, that little toy could certainly come in handy. Also interesting that Norman considers Banner to be the 4th smartest person in the world.

That was a neat little time bomb. Vicky doesn't find one of them at the weekend Sunday market. I would think Reed Richards or Doom would have had a hand in something that complicated.

And Dr Wainsborough disappeared in quite a hurry after the Banners arrived. (I suppose we can start calling him Skaar Banner now?). Does anybody else think that Banners shield defences are cool? No matter what somebody throws at Banner, at the click of a button, he has something that Cable would be proud of.

Norman did gain access to Doom's time machine specs when they were rescuing him from Morgana in DA so it's not a stretch to imagine Normy would come up with something like this.

I'm kinda disappointed with the outcome here. I rather like this new Bruce Banner and was kinda hoping he'd stick around for awhile, but with him now in danger of transforming once again soon you just know he'll be written as a whiner once more.:frown:

I got a real kick out of this issue, even though I'm not following the Hulk books. Loved to see Victoria Hand in action, being a bad-ass. I wonder what her deal is?

Haven't seen this one on the shelves yet at my store. So Banner is the hulk again? That's quite soon. Can anyone fill me in which hulk personality came out?

He's not the Hulk again yet. The nanotech looks like it's going to take some time complete the process.

Norman Osborn is a complete idiot, Have i said this already? Well it needs to be said again.

Did he even take into account the Green Scar into his equation? I'm sure Savage Hulk would have been fine with leaving Osborn alone. But Gravage is all about toppling dictators. Plus he's solo'd all the heroes before, and can brobably do it again with Skaar this time.

Greg Pak is apparently trying to sell everyone on the fact that Banner is suppose to be more dangerous than the Hulk. Too bad in order for anyone to buy that theory, we have to forget that World War Hulk ever happened and that he took down the Sentry and the Illuminati.

In other words, Greg Pak must be suffering from amnesia.

The pair of Banner and Skaar was causing Osborn problems. Osborn pulled something off that by all signs should accelerate that pair self-destructing on its own. I'd say that counts as a win for Osborn. He probably figures the best case scenario is that he'll later be able to recruit Skaar, or worst case scenario is just the usual status quo of a rampaging Hulk.

I really liked this issue. All of the List oneshots have been pretty good, actually. It's nice to see Osborn racking up some successes before his eventual downfall.

Anyone else think that Osborn's assessment of Banner as the fourth smartest person actually makes him number three behind Reed and Doom since he's probably counting himself as numero uno?

Also I like the end shot of the list, but "Kill Frank Castle" => Haha, not bloody likely.

Osborn is making enemies where he doesn't need to. I'm sure Banner and Skaar would have been fine with leaving him alone.

The plan was to get rid of Banner, banner being much more dangerous to OSborn, if not the public, than the Hulk is. The hulks pretty much harmless to Osborn as long as he's not provoked, the same can't be said of Banner

I smirked when Osborn stated the Hulk was not a worry as "long as you didn't stumble into his cave like I once did". Of course that issue of Amazing Spiderman (#14) being the first appearance of the Green Goblin guest starring-you guessed it- the Hulk. So they've shared some relevant history in the past.

Good issue. Osborn's plan is um interesting I guess.

Im not able to keep up with Osborns apparent precautions with regards to the Hulk as much as I'd like.

So I'm assuming that Osborn doesnt consider Banner or the Hulk a direct threat, but respects their power none the less?

This was moving along nicely until I reached the middle of the comic and it suddenly turned into Amazing Spider-Man 14.

Huh?

i think the gist of it is, norman wants to do something to banner/the hulk, but he is too much of a pussy and is afraid of getting stomped. at least that is what i drew from it.
