It looks like marvel is taking a break from the overarching Big event comic but never fear, there's still the mini Big event

(I consider a Big event comic to be like Civil War and Secret Invasion which touched EVERY comic - Siege for example, doesn't look like it's touching Mighty Avengers or Fantastic Four)

So, there's Doomwar, Attack on New Olympus, Siege, Necrosha, Realm of Kings

Any that I missed and can anyone tell me what months the above are supposed to come out and which comics are the main players?

Slott said Mighty would be part of Siege starting with like #34 or 35.

For example Secret Invasion didn`t have a tie-in for Daredevil.

Is Nation X a crossover betwean x-titles?

Nation X is just a story running in Uncanny, though there is a Nation X mini starting in like Dec, but it sounds more like a supplement than a tie in.

Apparently Mayberry said Doomwar will only relate to Black Panther . . . I hope that's true.

Also I though Attack on New Olympus & the Seige were related, are they not?

My concern (other than the same issues I have with Events) is that titles that can't nicely fit inside these mini-Events will be left out in the cold and eventually simply dropped/cancelled.
Series like Iron Fist, Moon Knight, Ghost Rider.
Although if those series appear as 6-issue LS once a year I would be cool with that.

It's a self-contained limited series, not a crossover event.

DoomWar is a self-contained Marvel Event. Meaning that it's big, but it doesn't crossover directly into other books. That said, there are lots of echoes from this, so let's see what happens down the road.

Thank god.

Does Planet Skaar count? It had a lead-in and two issues.

Deadpool corps -5th week event? Really? When is _THIS_ supposed to come out?

Let me see if I have it right...

Deadpool corps, Doomwar - Self-contained miniseries

Siege - Involving Thor, Dark, Mighty, New and Initiative?
Attack on New Olympus - Incredible Hercules, Dark, Mighty and New?

X-men Second-coming - New Mutants, X-force, X-factor, Uncanny and Astonishing?

X-men Necrosha - Uncanny, X-force and Dark Wolverine?

Is this right?

Uncanny wont be involved in Necrosha (thank god)....the Necrosha books are New Mutants, X-Force, and Legacy.

Siege- the only tie-ins solicited so far are New, Dark, Initiative, Dark Wolverine and mini called Embedded. Slott confirmed Mighty will tie in at some point, forget which issue he said. I'm betting Thor will tie in at some point as well.

Olympus- I thought it was just within the Herc book and a few one shots?

Second Coming- Uncanny, New Mutants, Legacy, X-Force

Necrosha- X-Force, Legacy, New Mutants

Other "events"

Shadowland- we don't know much other than the name and that Billy Tan is working on it. Deals with some "street level" heroes. Since Tan is on Thor right now, who knows when this will be released.

Young Avengers: Childrens Crusade- 8 part mini starting sometime next year.

"Magic" event- nothing concrete, but Bendis planted the seeds during the Search for new SS arc in New. I'm sure we'll see a build up to it in the Voodoo book.

Well Dark Reign is going on in a lot of Marvel's books right now. Thats the longest event that Marvel has had to date.

And there is the Gauntlet as well.
In Amazing Spider-Man and Web of Spider-Man.
Its a mini event in the stories,in which classic villains (Electro,Rhino,Mysterio...) return in the stories and in which one after other go against Spider-Man.
And yes,it looks awesome.

ASM will be the book to focus in that direction of stories, and Web of Spider-Man will have stories focused in the villains of the Gauntlet.

All around it looks like a great direction of stories to Spider-Man,and is something i am looking forward to read for months now.

Stoked for The Gauntlet. The preview art for the Sandman story looks awesome. And Marco Martin doing Mysterio, can't wait!
