We know there are alot of colored corps out there, competing for your recruitment. But we have a question for YOU:

Do you want the universe to rest in eternal peace, order and harmony?

If you answered YES, then The Black Lantern Corps is for YOU.

Yes, The Black Lantern Corps is for YOU. Be all that you can be. Discover the strength to lead and inspire others as a Black Lantern. In The Black Lantern Corps, you'll become stronger than you ever imagined. With the skills and training you gain in The Black Lantern Corps, there's no limit to how far you can go.

We're headquartered on the beautiful Sector 666 planet of Ryut. Our corps is powered by our sleek Black Lantern Central Power Battery, and our proud history is contained in the voluminous Book of the Black. Last and certainly not least, our corps is administered by the wise and powerful Nekron, Lord of the Unliving, who works through his skilled subordinates, Scar and Black Hand.

Upon recruitment, a Black Lantern is expected to uphold certain principles of their duty. These principles include:

1. The extinguishment of life and liberty within the universe.
2. Following the orders of Nekron and Scar without question.
3. Interference with a planet's culture, political structure, and its population's collective will.
4. Acting outside local laws and disobeying the local authority
5. Taking lethal action against anyone or anything regardless of whether they are proven to be a threat against life and liberty.
6. Refusing to use the equipment, resources, or authority of The Corps for the gain of anyone besides Nekron.
7. Showing respect for and cooperating with other members of the Corps and Nekron.
8. Showing no respect for life which includes no restraint of force.
9. Giving top priority to the greatest danger determined by Nekron or Scar at a given time.
10. Upholding the honor of the Corps.

Join today by ending your life. We'll make you strong, Black Lantern strong. Can you RISE to the challenge?

The Blackest Night falls from the skies,
The darkness grows as all light dies,
We crave your hearts and your demise,
By my black hand--The dead shall rise!

This made me laugh out loud. I think I'll stick with the Blue Lanterns for now though. Someone's gotta figure out how to stop Larfleeze from stealing our power battery.

What better hope is there for the universe than the eternal and complete peace, order, and harmony the Black Lantern Corps promises? No other colored corps can guarantee a swift and immediate end to all conflict in the universe.

And did I forget to mention all the legendary heroes of the "other colored corps" that have left their corps for the blacker better pastures of the Black Lantern Corps? Legends like Honor Guard Tomar-Re or Xudar, Abin Sur of Ungara, Honor Guard K'ryssma of Etrea, Katma Tui of Korugar, Rori Dag of Rojira, Starkaor, most of Rrab family of Graxos IV, Bzzd of Apiaton, Ke'Haan of Varva, Ch'p of H'lven...the list goes on and on. All these legendary heroes can't be wrong, can they?

Doesn't matter where your allegiances lie, everyone dies eventually, and that's when they GET you...

I fight for the Burgundy lanterns. Our emotion? Apathy.

3. Interference with a planet's culture, political structure, and its population's collective will.

Oh, now that's just mean!

Heh, I always pictured the Red Lantern recruitment video to be like those old Charles Atlas commercials. "Tired of getting sand kicked in your face? The Red Lantern Corps will guarantee that your life will be changed forever! Isn't that right, Billy?"

"ARRRGGHHPPPTTT!"
(Subtitle "That's right, Atrocius! Now I've got pep!"

Sir, how dare you show intolerance to our time-honored principles. We certainly can't have our Black Lanterns doing whatever they want out there. Foremost, our aim is to usher in eternal and complete peace and order in the universe, an end to all conflict.

If xorn87 and LordEd can RISE to the challenge of bringing peace and order to the universe, why can't you?

Why can't we give peace one more chance?
