There are been quite a few Anime movies that have made the bigger transitions from Manga to Anime - and then even to Live Action films.
Death Note is a prime example.
Are there any other Manga/Anime series that deserve to have a Live Action adaptation. (By the Japanese, of course. We don't ever want a repeat of Dragon Ball Evolution)
I think Fullmetal Alchemist would make a cool live action flick.

The thing is most live action adaptations are rather bad. Negima had a bad one. Sailor Moon too if I remember right. City Hunter has a funny Jackie Chan movie. GTO I am not certain but I think it did have one. At the top of my head those are all I can think of.

For the curious, Discotek just released the Hana Yori Dango/Boys Over Flowers Final liveaction movie. The Taiwanese TV series adaption has also been released in boxsets by a company specializing in Korean dramas [forget their name, but RightStuf carries their stuff]
VIZ has also released a lot of shojo-based j-drama movies like Nana, Love Com and Honey and Clover. I hope they get the DMC movie [with Gene Simmons!]. I'd love to see a Black Lagoon live action movie myself.
I just got the american Fist of the Northstar live action TV movie, but I've yet to watch it- it should be interesting....
