I think the one-shots of the cancelled series that DC mention are good, but I think they can give out more, I like to see

Aztek The Ultimate Man #11 by Grant Morrison and Andy Kubert

Hitman #61 by Garth Ennis and John McCrea

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Our Army At War. (Possibly Star-Spangled Stories or Weird War Tales instead, but Black Lanterns Enemy Ace+Haunted Tank+Unknown Soldier seem like an obvious source of stories.)

Yeah, usual suspects. Love to see Hitman (By Ennis), Aztek (by Morrison), Martian Manhunter (by Ostrander), Hourman (by Peyer), Checkmate (by Rucka and Trautmann), and Resurrection Man (by whomever is interested).

Surprised there wans't a "Spectre" with Ostrander writing, but I suspect Phantom Stranger will fill that role in quite nicely.

Holy poop on a stick -- those are some awesome Death drawings!

And that Seven Soldiers of Victory idea is dynamite.

Issue 7 is released this month. It's called "whatever happened to issue 6."

To be fair, I'm hoping Issue 7 will have a page or two dedicated to Black Lantern Karate Kid kicking Keith Giffen in the face.

(I like Giffen. But that's the sort of comedy that should be in a Black Lantern Ambush Bug issue.)

Now THAT'S Death. Not that two bit wannabe Nekron:biggrin: (Who once lost a fight to Witchfire. Just saying here, that doesn't scream "Universe Threatening Menace" to me)

Amen to this! I'd love for the end of Blackest Night to just be Death coming back off holiday, walk into the final epic battle, tut softly and just say...

"Really Nekron? Really?"

And then he'd just hang his head in shame and stand in the corner. There's only room for one Death in the DC universe. ;)

Every 100 years, Death become a mortal being, live a short time then die. What happened with "her" dead bodies?
What about her latest mortal form, DiDi? What would happen if Didi's dead body become a Black Lantern?

My question:
Is Nekron the Lord of Death or Lord of Dead!?

Winter, Fuji and Fahrenheit were brought back to life by the current Doctor after the WorldStorm but before the Armageddon.

I know they were brought back, but if I'm not mistaken Winter was brought back in a cloned body, so it is still possible.

I love the ideas for Hitman and Aztek. All the dead Bloodlines heroes could pop up.

Hitman #61 by Garth Ennis and John McCrea

"Thomas Monaghan of Earth. Rise.

Nathaniel Walls of Earth. Rise.

Sean Noonan of Earth. Rise.

Patrick Noonan of Earth. Rise.

Ringo Chen of Earth. Rise.

... Um... umm... ummm... hold on, hold o-just hold a moment. ...wait, what? ...'Dogwelder?' 'Dogwelder.' No, no, that won't do at all; what's his proper name? ... What do you mean 'it's just Dogwelder?!' Come on, you're kidding me! You're not seriously going to hold me to this, are you? We have some standards to uphold here, you know! Oh, fine! 'Dogwelder of Earth, RISE!' I'd like to get out of here sometime today, thank you..."

Then the other, er, "survivors" of Section 8 show up, they all tell Black Hand & Nekron where to stick it, and go get trashed & play poker at Noonan's one last time.

Blackest Night Jonah Hex 93 (or Hex 19, whichever last issue you'd want to follow up on) -- and it could have Jonah Hex's stuffed corpse become a Black Lantern. How cool would that be?

Blackest Night: Ras Al Ghul and Blackest Night: Vandal Savage.

Let's see how this all works with villains who consistently, repeatedly cheat death.

ETA: What was I thinking? Blackest Night: Gentleman Ghost too. Let's see how this is effecting Craddock as well!

I'm pretty sure Didio's going to be writing that tale as a short in Weird Western Tales. I can't imagine him passing up the chance to deal with the stuffed corpse.

How about The New Gods?

"Darkseid of Apokolips ... Rise."

If you're calling for Walt Simonson's Orion 26, I am definitely down for that, especially if it lead to a 27, a 28, and so on.
