How did Dakota get in such bad shape? Damn...

Yeah.
The Batman stuff looks good, I'm optimistic about all the JLA stuff, but not so sure about a lot of the other. JSA especially I'm not sure about...I hate those one off stories where the villain just gets quickly trashed by the team.

Hm... Interesting that All-Stars seems to be (from the description) getting a JSA:Classified style back up feature.

A few months ago, I would probably be jumping for joy over the new Robinson JLA, but now I don't know....Cry For Justice is just so awful...and Robinson ditched Firestorm, Black Canary, Zatanna, and Vixen, all of whom I happen to like.

I see some cool things:
Rucka loses JH Williams ... but gets Jock! That at least softens the blow a ton.
Marcus To, it's been mentioned already, is a sight for sore eyes on Red Robin.
JMS Brave & Bold with The Atom versus Joker? I'm so in ... he surprised the hell out of me with the Batman/Dial H for Hero one. JMS Brave & Bold hasn't let me down yet, and Saiz' art is ridiculously solid.
Cry For Justice is over! Say what you want about the series' plot itself, that cover at least shows Prometheus in an impressive light.
New JLA truly begins after a few months of warm-ups and Blackest Night trouble.
JSA All-Stars has a back-up featuring Liberty Belle and Hourman? Weird.

I feel the same way. I guess I'll wait for the reviews to decide if will buy it regularly or not.

JH Williams isn't off Detective, he's just off this arc. Rucka said at SDCC he's coming back for a 5 issue arc that'll cap the 12 issues he's supposed to commit to.

See, I thought it was supposed to be only six issues, but according that solicit it's now seven. And while the last issue was an improvement, it's really been brutal so far, in my opinion. If I weren't such a completest, I would've dropped it by now.
I am surprised and almost disappointed by the back-up feature in JSA All-Stars. Not that I've anything against Hourman and Liberty Belle, but they're not exactly among my favorites. Hate that I'll be getting squeezed for an extra dollar for something I'm really not too interested in, so hopefully it'll be unexpectedly good. Also, a rift forming between Magog and Power Girl; I'm looking forward to seeing that play out. Awesome cover, too, by the way.
More Static is a good thing, and perhaps if Teen Titans #79 is well received it'll pave the way for more solo adventures of the character, if not his own ongoing. A couple of the Red Circle characters got one, after all, so why not Static to represent Milestone?
Finally, I'm really enjoying Red Robin, and the solicit for #8 sounds like it will be another exiting issue. Looking forward to reading it.

I'm most excited about the Brave and the Bold with The Atom /Joker confrontation.
I wasn't going to pick up JSA All-Stars (I like the team all in one book), but the co-feature with Liberty Belle and Hourman intrigues me. Icicle and Tigress make a fun villain couple and only add reasons to buy the book.
I'm very unhappy with the Wonder Woman series right now. Gail came out strong in the beginning, but the "Rise of the Olympian" fell flat IMHO. I'm just not excited about where Wonder Woman is going in her book. I'm giving it a second chance before deciding to drop it all together. :frown:

Yeah, but we get Robinson man-crushing on Hal in an ongoing now. How is that not a win?

So Sturges and Willingham couldn't work together on one JSA title? Looks like they flipped a coin, split the roster and made to books. Blah. JSA roster has been way too big, but two books, my wallet doesn't like that one bit, specially since I'm sure I'll get both.

Yeah as far as I know it was only pushed out of December due to some Blackest Night stuff.
Cameron Stewart has been working on the layouts for issue 8 for like a week now so he seems to be getting the issues done at a decent pace and what he's shown looks awesome.

This has been planned since last year. Possibly since 2007. There would be two teams in two books. The only difference is the writers, since Johns was going to write either one or both titles. But he left and Sturges and Willingham came on to set up the split. Hence both were writting at the same time until December's books.

That JSA All Stars cover is fantastic. I wish his interior art looked that stylish. Maybe I'll get lucky and it will now....

That JSA All Stars cover is fantastic.
Glad I'm not the only one who likes it. A couple of people on the Newsarama talkback made Liefeld references, and I was wondering if perhaps I was beginning to go blind.

Red Robin has been nothing but Yost screwing around. As mentioned in the CBR review, Johns nailed Drake's motivations in one issue of Adventure Comics - something that hasn't happened (not even close) in Drake's own book.

It can't come out until after "Blackest Night #6" as "B & R affects the entire DCU".

Maybe I'm not up on the latest, but I noticed on the cover of Blackest Night: Flash that Captain Cold was being chased by dead Rogues. One of them was the Top.
Did he die again? I thought Johns brought him back during his run on the Flash. So now he's dead again so he can be a Black Lantern?
I am confused.
