The Star Wars adaptations are well-known, and I remember a Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla (90's version) manga adaptation (Which sort of 'crunched' the story down to a few pages). However have there been any manga adaptations of non-anime movies otherwise?

I know it sometimes goes the other way around, such as City Hunter and the recent American Dragonball and Speed Racer films.

Stuff that's been licensed here-
ADV released the Dark Water manga
Dark Horse released the Ring manga [based on the same novel as the movies]
Tokyopop has released a whack of licensed domesticc manga based on movies like Star Trek, The Dark Crystal and The Labryinth. They also released the japanese-created Monsters Inc. Manga [yes, there is a manga Sully]
Media Blasters released the Volcano High manwha
ComicsOne released the My Sassy Girl manhua
There's probably a lot more I'm forgetting.... Tpop has released a lot of manga based on novels that were adapted into movies like One Last Call [I think that was the title].

Old Boy [released by Dark Horse] was originally a japanese manga, which was then adapted into a Korean film.
