I've fallen in love with the way Scott draws everything... And Jeanette is quickly becoming one my favorite characters....And I love the general veil of cynism and stacked scenes of character development...

Definitely one of the best books on the stands....

I think I need to re-read this last arc. It's felt a little ... bleh to me.

Still a great series though.

This arc hasn't been quite as compelling as the "Get out of Hell free" card storyline, but it is still quite fun to read.

I like that Bane is getting character development as a tortured man-monster who aspires to nobility. I also like that he wants to stay off the venom. Him getting repeatedly confronted with it kinda reminds me of the Bill Bixby/Lou Ferrigno Incredible Hulk series in which he kept trying to keep his cool and control the monster---but it kept getting brought out in times of extreme danger.

Agreed. Simone has done a wonderful job of exploring a character, who I thought, went abit stale after his initial introduction in Knightfall.

Well, the story of him overcoming his Venom addiction was a good one, but unfortunately after that everyone seemed to decide he was simply a thug, as opposed to an extremely cunning and tenacious opponent.

But yeah, the stuff with him here has been great. Hopefully it's not all getting tossed out the window with an injection of Venom....

Cannot WAIT to read this issue tomorrow when it goes on the shelves of my LCS.

But, to ease my fangirlish agitation, any CBR peeps who've read the issue, I'd love to know if Jeanette, Scandal and Catman make it out okay. Their my favourite characters in the book :)

Nah, he used Venom once before when his group was about to be killed by the D-listers on that bridge. That's when he wigged out and we saw the world through his eyes...and everyone looked like Venom. It was funny but also a scary glimpse into the mind of a man driven temporarily insane by a potent drug.

And then he cracked a D-lister over his knee.

Disappointed with this one, I must say. After writing the team into a corner in a couple of respects I just found the resolutions lacking.

1) Conflict between the Six: resolved because they one by one just switch sides. I guess it was in keeping with Deadshot's growing attachment to the team, but I found his conflicted nature a little jarring. I feel he should have either capped them (which wasn't going to happen) or turned on Smyth right away (which also would have deflated the story). The waffling just seemed out of character. ti would have been more interesting to see the divisions explored more.

2) Even more jarring was Wonder Woman letting the Six go. They are all known killers and fugitives from the law (some even killed more or less in her presence). Heck, they tried to kill her. I don't buy the "you helped, so you can go" bit at all. If it were her book and these were another group of villains that wouldn't happen. I find it a lazy way out of a conflict every time it happens (see the Deadshot mini with Greeen Arrow, or Hitman's run-in with various heroes). It doesn't make sense other than being a way to wrap things up cleanly.

Really cool issue. I dug this storyline alot.

The ragdoll moment was really badass and unexpected.

Deadshot at the end was nice payback to mr white.

Question: How did they kill that chick with the swords in the end? When deadshot shot her did she not heal like she said she could?

Looking forward to john ostrander's issue next month.

The art was top notch as usual.

Catman said he was going to "dress" her, like a hunter does his kill. So he disemboweled her and let he bleed out and scooped all her internal organs out of her body.

I still like the series, but man was this arc garbage. This last issue was a bit better than the rest of it but ugh...here's to hoping this series doesn't fall apart.

Catman, Deadshot and 'Doll all had moments in this issue that reaffirmed why I love them so much! Ragdoll was BRUTAL and Deadshot did what we all knew he would eventually chose to do in the end, but it was still awesome and Blake's line about "dressing", ewwwwwwww

I've only recently started reading this. I was a little confused about how quickly the team turned on each other. Yeah, I get that they want to honor their contract, but to take it to such extremes as to turn on each other without a moment to pause just seemed a bit jarring. There are always more contracts... I'm thinking of a couple of issues ago, when Catman casually gutted Savage. And I agree with Dave Hackett's comment that Deadshot's behavior seemed a bit weird (he would have sided with Savage immediately, or turned on her and never looked back.) How can they even remain a team at this point? Am I missing something?

That aside, I'm digging this series. It's like no other title coming out.

Well, I'm glad that arc has come to an end. It felt a little decompressed. Some really great moments though.

I love how Gail has all these characters down. Except, weirdly enough, Wondy. She felt superfluous.

In a book with Jeanette, Scandal, Sword Chick and Artemis, Wonder Woman herself was the least strong female character. Surely that's saying something pointed about the character.

Um, the point was to be an entertaining story? If you didn't like it darling, fair enough but personally I loved it.

I would, well, I am. I found this arc to be a bit more troubling and it didn't seem to flow quite as well as Unhinged, but I think that's the nature of this type of series; it takes you to uncomfortable places, and not every issue is going to hit all the right notes for everyone.

I liked this issue, although while I didn't have a problem with the resolutions themselves, they did seem to come as a bit rushed and packed into the last half of this one issue. I hope that someone takes Floyd to task for his willingness to turn on his comrades each time.

Yes, I was thinking the same thing. Although I guess he didn't technically turn on them in the get-out-of-hell-free arc, since he was supposedly trying to save their lives by running the card into Gotham himself. But I don't really see how a team could function long-term when they can't trust each other. Hopefully that will be addressed somehow.

I liked this second arc, although I think the first was still the best so far. This one seemed like it could have been just as easily wrapped up in three issues rather than five (but I guess that's too thin of a TPB). The concluding issue was a little weak in parts, but what really got me were the five or six pages about 2/3 of the way through that were penciled by the other guy (can't think of his name). There was one panel where I wouldn't have even recognized Blake if it wasn't for the costume. I found that quite jarring.

But overall I'm very happy with this series. It's the only "superhero" book I read.
