Is anyone watching this show?
I liked the first season, but the second
season kicked serious ass.
I hope they can keep up the
quality for season 3.

Just finished watching season 2 last weekend. It's fantastic stuff. All the characters are interesting and well-rounded. Lenny really is the spiritual successor to George Cowley of 'The Professionals'.
As for the John, he's a great character. The actor playing him is fantastic at putting across his intensity and dangerousness. His fixed, blank-eyed stare is so much more effective than any amount of tough-guy dialogue.
Callum surprised me. I really was afraid he was going to be generic inept comic relief, but he's continually surprised me by being not only useful in the unit's activities, but also a fully-developed character, and not just a two-dimensional caricature.
And Rose's character continues to have a great mix of soft and hard.

I really loved the story arc with the Intelligence guy from this season. He was an interesting foil for Lenny and the team, and I'm looking forward to see how the whole leadership issue is going to work out next season.

Probably the thing I like most about it is that it's so hard-boiled and unsentimental. I can't imagine how fuck-awful an American version would be.
