Paint it Black - Rolling Stones. If I could pick an overall theme song for the event, that would probably be the song.

Streets On Fire by Lupe Fiasco. The lyrics are vague and about some sort of end-of-thw-world pandemic, but I think it works well with a Zombie outbreak!
