I just ordered this one and I'm looking forward to it. I started reading Superman during the Death of Superman hype so I missed out on this story the first time around.

It's...not the best Brainiac story

I loved this story, it was some great pay off for the Exile story where they re-introduced Mongul.

As well as being a nice set up for the events that lead into "Doomsday". Interestingly enough, DC teased this one a year before in the 1991 Superman Annual.

A crapload of heroes vs. a Brainiac controlled, warrior filled Warworld...ain't nothing wrong with that.

I'll second that, but it was okay.

Wasn't this suppose to be a good, big Brainiac story after the reboot where they finally brought him back to his good old green self?

Anyway I know the general story of Panic In The Sky, but how is it? Brainiac taking over Warworld, and Supes gathers a bunch of heroes to go stop him sounds good!

Actually, I think he went green a little before that. There was a three-part story by Perez in Action Comics, shortly after it stopped being a weekly anthology.

I don't completely remember it, but I do recall an army of Metallos and Brainiac's skull ship.

That story was "The Brainiac Trilogy".

With art by Perez and Gammil...win-win.

This was the third Brainiac tale in his new Coluan form. "The Brainiac Trilogy" and the guest spot in L.E.G.I.O.N. preceeded it.This story was the set up for the Jurgens JLA run as this story came on the heels of "Breakdowns" in both JL books. As well as bringing Supergirl/Matrix back into the Superman books.

Plus it had a dozen or so heroes fighting a skull ship.

I got Panic in the Sky a couple of days ago and I thought it was great. Brainiac was awesome in this story. I really liked everything about it. The story and art were both well done. I liked seeing how other heroes that don't usually team up with Supes reacted to him. I thought the nods to the Fleischer cartoons when Superman battled Brainiac's ship were cool.
