With Superman: World of New Krypton running, right now, there's five Superman-themed book (including Adventure and Supergirl). When World of New Krypton ends next year, would you like to see a new series, and if so, which member of the Superman family would you like it to be about?
I'm thinking on-going, here, not miniseries like World of New Krypton. I mean the Batman family has 10 books, right now, so I'm sure Superman could support five books (especially since Adventure isn't a full-time Superman book).
I'd like to see Steel get his own book. Or maybe Superboy, if he's not going to be in Adventure full-time.

I'd enjoy a new Steel book. Who would write it is the question. Simonson? Priest? Schultz? Morrison? Some one new to Steel?
I would say give Adventure to the Legion and give the fifth one to Superboy, if I thought the Legion could stand on their own, which I do not think they can.
So I say reverse it. Keep Superboy in Adventure and make the fifth one Superman and the Legion of Superheroes.
Honestly, I think the only reason we're getting WonK is because Superman isn't in Action Comics or Superman. Once he returns to those books, we'll be back to the three triangle series, Action, Superman and Supergirl.

That's kind of a given.
That said, I could see a revival of Adventures Of Superman, thus giving us three Superman books with Supergirl and Adventure being off to the side.

Legion has survived without Superman for the most part since 1980 and as a headliner even before that. They can stand on their own just fine. Maybe not selling huge amounts but selling enough and considering they are in their own little corner of the DCU they do spectacularly. Its not like they are Magog/REBELS/Warlord for heavens sake

Works for me. I can't afford to, nor do I need to read a zillion books a month featuring the same character.

I want a Streets of Metropolis type book written by Robinson similar to how Superman is right now.

WONK is supposed to be building up to a big Superman event for 2010. So I would assume right after WONK concludes, it would be followed up by the event book.
After all that? My ideal fifth title would be a Metropolis book for Guardian, the Daily Planet, the Science Police, and other stuff that deserves some highlight in the city. Sort of like Batman: Streets of Gotham.
So it would be:
1. Action Comics - Superman Family book
2. Superman
3. Supergirl
4. Adventure Comics, Adventures of Superboy, or just Superboy whatever I really want a Superboy solo book.
5. Metropolis: Society of Tomorrow (or something like that)

I'd like the team up book to come back. Fourth time's the charm? And because everything is better with pictures:

Exactly. I really don't want another book featuring Superman -- quite frankly, it's difficult enough to get me interested in those we already have most of the time, and while there have been some good runs WoNK is probably the first time since 2004 that I've really enjoyed a book BECAUSE of Superman.
I think a Streets of Metropolis book would be spectacular. I am loving "Superman" right now for just that reason -- give it to Robinson, and just let him play with all the Kirby stuff he obviously loves - Guardian, Steel, Jimmy Olsen, remnants of Cadmus/DNAliens, and all the other obscure pieces of continuity. I like the idea that there is sort of this whole, teeming world going on right under Superman's nose because he's too busy dealing with all the big, overt stuff.

They actually used that stuff constantly during Superman's late 80's and 90's run. Even the Newsboy Legion was there, in their roles as the scientists behind Cadmus and their young clones. Weird, but fun.

Yeah, for me....
1. I didn't think that the writing team at the time was particularly strong. No offense meant to those creators, but Jurgens and Ordway didn't impress me the way Robinson does.
2. It was sort of spread out over a number of books, rather than concentrated in one title.

Superboy. Leave Adventures for the Legion.

Ooh, a Super-family team up book. One issue Superman and whomever, then Supergirl, then Superboy, then Steel and so on. Or, hell, just bring this back:

I would like to see Nightwing & Flamebird get their own book, I am really enjoying them in Action Comics right now (oh, it must be written by Rucka!!)
My other choice would be Superboy (Conner Kent) as it seems he won't be the lead in Adventure Comics once Paul Levitz takes over.

Oh man, a Streets of Metropolis series would be great. Just like Adventures was back in the Byrne/Ordway/Wolfman days.

3. Supergirl
4. Adventure Comics
5. Legion Of Super-Heroes
That's Enough. Personally I couldn't give a crap about Steel, or the Guardian. (I don't hate the Guardian, but he's gonna be in JLA, so he doesn't need his own ongoing IMHO)

Agreed. I do like the idea of a team up book however. It would only need to be loosely in-continuity, if at all. It also has a lot of potential to attract top writers and artists since they could tell just the one story/arc and be out. Basically, a book that you could pick up when you were interested, but isn't really essential.

I like the ideas for a Superman family, featuring stories using all of the main players currently in the other titles. A Streets of Metropolis book would also be an entertaining concept to me, with Steel, Guardian, the Science Police, and maybe Star Labs dealing with some of Supes lesser used bad guys for a ground level theme. It's Metropolis. Something is always getting blown up, smashed, or what have you. It is too early to call, but both titles would seem like a natural transition after WoNK winds down.
I won't stray too far from writer/artist choices, but Robinson/Ingle on the Family book, with Rucka/Cascioli doing the Streets angle. Robinson has done well with using Guardian and the SP, so he would also be the natural choice for a Streets book, but i was partial to Gotham Central with Rucka.. Come to think of it, both writers could be just as interchangeable for this or that reason on either title.
