Personally i'm in love with the king of fear, it's been a while since we had such striking contrast of colours on one of MM covers! The composition in also top notch!
Oh... and for those of you who like the solicitations spoilers:

King of Fear looks awesome! Back to the castle, wow, this is going to be great. And finally HB 9! For some reason though I had imagined Molloch and some others to come collected before the Wild Hunt. But I am certainly not complaining, I am one of the few on this forum that still did not read this story yet so I am really exited about this!

King of Fear - Finally! I just emailed Guy about this, and he sounded pretty busy - sweet! I can't wait to see how it turns out :)
I'm sad about the Wild Hunt because it sounds like there isn't any extra epilogues - that Duncan Fegredo sure can draw :)
Ooops! - I didn't mean to hijack Mikolaj's thread -- those covers sure are awesome, and good news about Mike returning to the comics drawing board

It great news to hear that Hellboy 9 is coming out in any format,
i think the idea to collect Hellboy 9 as the wild hunt, instead of the other uncollected stuff, like Moloch/"those that go down to the sea in ships"/ and The Crooked man, was all because volume 8 was darkness calls and the two lead one into the other ... and maybe the editor or publisher wants there to be a smoother flow of the story for people who collect the trades ... after all the collected short stories are kind of disjointed and its kind of a disappointment when you are looking for what comes next and you find stories from the past instead

I don't see any mention of an epilogue for The Wild Hunt. That's the first time since Seed of Destruction, isn't it?
Also, does anyone else think, in light of "BIG CHANGES" and the data that Arcudi and Davis will be doing the Lobster Johnson ongoing, that King of Fear is going to be the last current-era BPRD story for quite a while (or *gasp* ever)?

I'm thinking it is the end of Lobster Johnson in the timeline.
Of course we will still get series and/or books.

That would be weird for the BPRD to just stop publication...what would happen to all those characters? BPRD has been their most constantly released title for a while now, so I can't imagine it would stop. Then again, maybe with Guy on the lobster story, and 1948, I could see a potential 10 month gap in publication of a mini in the present timeline. Hopefully after that we'll see Daimio and Daryl again!
I would love to have a BPRD mini unrelated to frogs and hyperborian subhumans, kind of like Universal Machine or Garden of Souls...just a bunch of freakish paranormal humans doing what they do best...

Which means there will be much less incentive (at least for me) to pick up the TPB collection, since I will essentially be re-purchasing the 8 issue series only bound together as a whole this time. Hmm, had they slipped in a sketchbook or a epilogue to sweeten the deal I would certainly have plunked down my chump change, but now I simply don't see the need.
That being said, I do love these covers!! Bring on King of Fear!

Neil, I believe there IS going to include a sketch section, just not an extra epilogue. Or maybe. Those folks at Dark Horse are tricky.

Folks, here's the solicitation from the link. I highlighted some text below to address a point of concern, but yes, it would seem no epilogue. You know you'll get the trade anyway.
HELLBOY VOLUME 9: THE WILD HUNT
Mike Mignola (W), Duncan Fegredo (A), and Dave Stewart (C)
On sale Mar 10
FC, 192 pages
$19.99
TPB, 7" x 10"
When ancient giants begin to reawaken in the British Isles, Hellboy is invited to join an ancient band of fellow monster hunters called the Wild Hunt and help bring them down. But an unexpected betrayal sends Hellboy after a quarry far more deadly: the Queen of Blood, first seen in 2007’s best-selling Hellboy: Darkness Calls. This newly reborn evil has her murderous sights set on all of humanity, and the only way Hellboy can stop her is to finally confront the truth about his own dark heritage.
• Mignola reunites with artist Duncan Fegredo for the eagerly anticipated follow-up to Hellboy: Darkness Calls.
• Hellboy: The Wild Hunt collects the entire eight-issue miniseries, along with an extensive sketchbook section from both artists.
This is going to be the chunkiest trade yet.

I think they might take a break, but i don't see BPRD ending any time soon. I mean it sounds like the frog stuff might get wrapped up in KoF, but there is still plenty of stuff to explore with Daimio and Panya, and i'm thinking the end of KoF might just mark a return to the sorts of smaller more investigative type stories the BPRD used to investigate before evverything ballooned.

I agree. We don't know much about what Panya's doing. And the Daimio vs. Darryl situation was a definite cliffhanger. I also would love to see a return to the "smaller" scale stories. Universal Machine and Garden of Souls were probably my two favorite series thus far.
