i have not been a consistent reader of batman ever. i have a few trades but the black and white collections were amazing and great storytelling

ive been wondering, should dc put out a collection of all three graphic novels in one volume?

If they did, it would probably be called Absolute Batman: Black & White.

I doubt there'd be much demand for it. Hush on the other hand was probably the highest selling point of Batman comics this decade. It's put down by people who like to pretend they're above superhero punch-up comics. People who prefer smart books like Watchmen and um Long Halloween

Did R.I.P. sell more than Hush? I really hope Grant Morrison's entire Batman run gets the Absolute treatment.

IMO. Hush is just nice to look at. I think All-Star Batman and Robin has better writing than Hush does. Way too predictable of a plot, and just sort of boring IMO. The Long Halloween isn't as well-written as Watchmen, but it is a good read. I actually have Absolute Batman: The Long Halloween.

You hit the nail on the head. I like to think of Hush as a large Batman Jim Lee artbook. The story is only an excuse.

It's a large amount of fan service as well, just an excuse to see every character in Batman's universe.
