There have been a couple female writers on the writer list--I think I was the second such writer and I've been on two or three times. But apparently, in a world with Jill Thompson and Nicola Scott and Jo Chen and Adriana Melo and many others, this is the first time a woman has been on the top ten artist's list.

Gender completely aside, it is ABOUT FUCKING TIME and Amanda Conner RULES.

I totally agree with this statement! She was so down to earth when I met her. I hope to be able to meet her again! ^_^ She even explained Power Girl's cat, heh and of all cats it has to be the most like Batman. We both had a giggle over that. =] Very nice to meet, and so wonderful!

I wish Wizard made a "Top Ten Creators" list, that'd be nicer. ^_^

To bad its come long after Wizard has essentially become irrelvant in the industry and lost most of its credibility. Congrats and all but not exactly the resume builder it would have been a few years ago.

I know right? Any way congrats to Amanda, she's always been a big inspiration to me.

Either way Wizard stopped meaning anything in my book since they had the 1# men's comic magazine' on there which included the 'guess the rack' quiz. Augh. *bangs head against wall until it becomes a bloody mess of nose cartilage, eyeballs and muscle* Graphic, but so are many feelings about Wizard.

Meh. I don't need Wizard to tell me that Amanda Connor is an amazing top teir talent. Hell, this is the same magazine that not long ago tried branding itself as a mens entertaiment magazine instead of a comics magazine. I think they changed it to pop culture magazine now. I'm not surprised it took this long to list a female artist given their 'no wimmens allowed' clubhouse attitude.

Amanda is one of the best comic artists currently working.
