Mega-shark Vs. Giant Octopus.

It might be the best horrible worst great terrible film ever.

I love that the shark ate a jumbo jet. That's just the exact kind of thing all films should have.

The funny thing is, they were INCHES from having a cult hit. The acting is terrible, the scripts bizarre, the cast is a constant freakshow. But all of that would have worked in its favor if the effects had been a bit more plentiful. The same cgi shots are used over and over...one scene with the shark fin heading towards a sub is used so many times in a row it's almost like a Mr. Show sketch.

The actual fight in the end is lame. But I still think they could have made a fun film with another two days and seventeen more dollars.

I thought it needed more scenery chewing.

That's the concensus I've seen with b-movie reviewers online - it could have been awesome with a few more cheesy effects shot.

The main reaction seems to be "I should be loving this film and yet I don't, damn you film!".

Even the worst movie can be made better by having a shark eat a jumbo jet:biggrin:

Please do NOT use Mega-Shark as a excuse not to fly. I *KNOW* you, brat.

Oh wow this sounds like a movie I have to see. If you adore terrible, b-grade killer animal flicks I recommend another shark movie by the name of Megalodon. (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0284303/) I'm still trying to figure out whether the movie was voiced in Spanish and then re-dubbed in English because all of their voices are so off and the dialogue is fantastically horrible.
My fiancée and I thought the best dialogue in the movie came when the male lead asked the female love interest *censored for bad, bad words and spoilers. Highlight the sentence below to see what he asked her.
if he could eat her pussy because he was feeling a bit wired. The most assuming part is - she agreed!
Worth a watch but prepare to flail all over the couch laughing.

You really don't want to see it.

It's almost wonderfully awful. Like Gail said, if they'd just spent money on real special effects, it would be AWESOMESAUCE.

As it is, they reuse the same effect over and over and the effect isn't very good, and neither is it on-screen very long.

Too bad.

The best part is that John "Captain Jack" Barrowman is the one who delivers that line:biggrin:

I would never use a plane eating shark as a reason not to fly.

Now the Langoliers...THEIR a real threat:eek:

And if he were in character / costume as Jack Harkess it would have made the entire scenario so much more believable.

I fully agree!

This movie is just Win.

Hmm..maybe the director will go back and do a "Director's Cut", and include more special effect shots?

I LOVE those long "Matrix" style leather coats. Managed to pick one up in Camden a little while ago. Handy for day-to-day wear and Trinity cosplay fun:biggrin:

I'm still trying to upload my photos honey. Most of them are on the same camera as my Harley pics and the pic Bree wants so she can do me in the Goth Lantern style (Um...that's "Do me" as in "Do a picture of me" of course:redface: ) and I'm having a few problems getting them to sync up:frown:
