Who do you like more, Cloak or Dagger?

With them joining the X-Men now, the two aren't going to be much of a crime-fighting duo as much as members of a team much bigger than them.

So with them separated now, who do you like more?

Cloak. Ever since that Spider-Man: Maximum Carnage game I thought he had a cool visual and I liked that he could teleport by pretty much engulfing everything in his cloak. As far as the comics go, his mass teleportation and "feeding" always struck me as cooler than Nightcrawler (and now, of course, PIXIE). House of M showed he could function pretty well (if not better) without Dagger strapped to his side.

Dagger's light daggers/javelins make her a less useful version of AoA Blink, IMHO. Her only saving grace is that her costume reminds one of a classic costume worn by a superior character, even if Dagger's is only a bargain bin imitation :tongue: :wink:

And Clock does work well with others, he was on the Infinity Gauntlet team, the House of M team, and the Civil War Captain America team. Plus he has a great visual.

Me too. The thing about Cloak, writers don't seem to know how to give him a personality, so he's pretty much a blank slate, while several writers have used Tandy to varying degrees of success.

I guess that makes sense. Cloak is better due to interesting powerset and visual, plus some people seem to care about his ethnicity which I guess shouldn't really even be a factor.

But Dagger is better in the development department. She is definitely the more emotionally dominant of the pair. She seems to be the leader, and she has more definition to her as a character. Cloak works better in action, Dagger works better when things slow down a bit.

after 10 long minutes, I decided I can't have one without the other. They are literally like the most inseparable duo out of all of comics for me, if they separated, I would cry. Well not really, but it would be one of the biggest disappointments in comic book history. With that said, I choose both.

This thread is an Abomination. They were introduced as Cloak and Dagger. But I see a growing movement to separate the two.

Cloak and Dagger were a perfect tandem and a smack to the face of segregationist. At one time they carried the hope of interracial harmony. But now, I see the pop culture raiders want to add Dagger to their collections. Poor Cloak..solo black males have a piss poor track record in the X-universe.

My Prediction-- Cloak dead in 4 years. Dagger on the X-men or some bullsh#^ team with her new white friend helping her get over the loss <nudge nudge wink wink> Previous Examples of past relationships that no longer exist: Surge with Prodigy. Or M with Synch
