Starting threads for other people to discuss something is frowned upon. Didn't you notice when half your threads in the TV/Movie Board were locked because you basically said, "Here's a thread about _____. Discuss!"?

Usually he just starts a thread (pretty much every day since he got here) and doesn't come back to it.
