Can someone help me understand what's going on?

I've been trying to keep up with superman the best I could, but I never read supergirl or WoNK. Can you guys help me clear up a few questions?

1) What exactly is General Lane trying to do?
2) What is Project 7734 exactly?
3) In supergirl #44, why was Lois angry at Supergirl?

I've missed the last few issues due to budgets, but before that I'll see how I can best clear it up for you:

1. & 2. General Lane thinks the Kryptonians (especially Superman) are a threat to humanity so he is trying to stop them. Project 7734, I believe, is his way of stopping the Kryptonians.

3. Lois is angry at Supergirl because she came across an individual named Superwoman who was Lois's sister in disguise. Supergirl didn't know this originally and after she unmasked Lucy (Lois's sister), the suit Lucy wore as Superwoman did some weird explosion/implosion thing and it appears that Lucy died while fighting Supergirl. Lois hasn't come right out and said the exact reasons, but it might be a mix of blaming Supergirl, the loss of her sister, and knowing more is going down than she knows about.

Sam Lane doesn't trust Superman as per a retcon. He wants to take out Superman, Supergirl and the people of New Krypton and make Earth a safe place. To that end, Project 7734 was designed to help in that endeavor. Lane has recruited all kinds of foes that can be a threat to the Kryptonians. He's also manipulating the general public into turning on the Kryptonians, through the use of Morgan Edge and WGBS.


3) In supergirl #44, why was Lois angry at Supergirl?

Superwoman was revealed to be not a Kryptonian, but Lois's sister Lucy Lane. Lucy had wanted her father's attention for years and after he faked his death in "Our Worlds At War", Lucy joined the US Army. Sam helped Lucy to become a major in no time and after surviving "Amazons Attack", Lucy was brought to 7734 and learned of her father's survival and future plans. She agreed to wear a special suit that could simulate Kryptonian powers and pose as Superwoman when Kandor was restored on Earth. During a fight with Supergirl, Kara removed these mysterious discs on the suit, which had apparently killed Lucy. Kara felt guilty and told Lois about what happened with Lucy. Lois is mad at her killing Lucy. But what they don't know is that a side effect of the suit seems to be that she was able to return to life.
