I can't help it, I love those crazy designs she wore during the Sekowsky era. And let's face it, she's had some horrible costume variations. And her secret identity wore some BUGLY ugly outfits.
What are your favorites/least favorites?
I thought this was one of the most hideous designs from the beginning of the mod era. Seriously, who would even remotely think they could walk out in public looking like a lovechild between a cowboy and a lampshade?

You obviously weren't around in the 60s
It's the silhouette that's all wrong with this garment. If it were sleeveless and her arms came up from the bottom I could see it being actually worn but as it is rendered she would need a massive crinoline just to hold the form out (and most of the fashion of the time was going towards a more fitted look to accentuate the bust and the flow was toward the skirt area instead of the fitted skirt look from the previous decade.) I see the style, but I think he simply drew it to an extreme. Plus it makes her arms look gimpy!

If we can count toys, I'd say this is the most horrendous variation ever on the regular design.

ugg. She looks like a Wild West showgirl act.

I don't have any scans to post, but some of her off-duty Wonder-themed casual outfits in the late 80's/early 90's were pretty bad. Star spangled stretch pants with oversized poofy sweaters? C'mon!!!

That really IS an oddball one. I generally like the variant toys, but this really has a weird vibe!

I'm gonna get in trouble, but I think these are kind of fun.

^ ^ ^ ^ Fun in a silly, nostalgic kinda way. I thought they were cool when I was 12, 13 but rereading these issues? Bwah-ha-ha-ha-ha!!!
However the caveat is this is one of my favorite eras, storywise...

Are you kidding? I would have KILLED to have had an outfit like that back then. As it was I did indeed have a winter cape/poncho, but it didn't have the design and flair this has. (It was Crayola green and a ratty wool material.) The classy hat and tights make it all so much cooler.

It looks like she's wearing her own merchandise, like Booster Gold would.
I *can* see her wearing the off the shoulder/flashdance sweatshirt. I might wear something like that, actually. Its adorable. But the skirt and cameltoe pants have to go!
They scare me.

This probably doesn't qualify as crazy, weird or ugly. In fact, I kind of like it. Diana Prince in Amazon armor.

Two words: Bike shorts.
So ugly. So wrong.

While the good folks at Wizard didn't mean any harm, putting Wonder Woman in an even more revealing flappy thong and...bustier is the wrong way to go with updating a costume.
I do like her pose on the rocks. The braids and noseguard tiara aren't too bad either. The nose-ring seems modern but people in Indian have been wearing them forever.

They managed to design an outfit fuglier than the '80s Black Canary one.
Even Lynda's loveliness powers were vastly overwhelmed.

There's a story about the designing of the Wonder Wetsuit in my interview with costumer Donfeld in BACK ISSUE #5 (on sale for half price at TwoMorrows (http://new.twomorrows.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=423&zenid=je3sl71qvcso7j8a3vq3sokga1))
http://new.twomorrows.com/images/backissue/05.jpg
Unfortuantely, I had to edit it heavily, as Donfeld said some rather crass things. Funny things too, that had me laughing so ahrd that my stomach hurt, but crass nonetheless.
And speaking of which, when I gave Warner the photos they used for the DVD sets (yes, a fan was the source of most of them) the designer and I discussed the need to edit out Lynda's visible *issue* in the lower regions. He eventually just cropped the image higher.

Well, the post was talking about the Wonder Wetsuit, and the image was there.
In a more high-resolution picture, it definitely brought to mind a song where the chorus starts with:

It's huge, so I'll just link it: Dustin Nguyn's a great artist, but...whew, the skimpy one really pushes it. (http://duss005.deviantart.com/art/Wonder-Woman-vinyl-133238965)

Heh. I thought this was going to be a topic about all of the horrible Wonder Woman HALLOWEEN costumes people have seen over the years. Since that date is quickly approaching again.
In fact, I just learned that one of my nieces is planning to be Wonder Woman for Halloween. How timely!

I must be the only person in the universe who didn't think this version was all that bad. I mean it wasn't a superhero outfit, but then again my memory of that Cathy Lee Crosby version was that she was more like late 60s/early 70s comics Diana than any other version, and therefore was more of an Emma Peel character than a Superhero.
In THAT context that that context alone, the Crosby outfit could have been FAR worse.
