Hey guys,

I'm looking for a Samurai sort of Series, in Trade format if poss. I read Usagi Yojimbo (one of my fave seres!) and Blade Of The Immortal. I've read Lone Wolf and Cub and Samurai Executioner. I'm looking for something along those lines. It can be Manga etc. I'd really like somthing in full colour, but B&W is okay, if there's nothing else. I'm looking for a series with at least three volumes.

Thanks!

You've named all the ones I know!

The same creators who did Lone Wolf & Cub and Samurai Executioner also did Path of the Assassin. Dark Horse is publishing them in the mini-digest format...

I recommend Vagabond, which tells the story of famous historical swordsman Miyamoto Musashi.

2 others i have heard of but haven't read are Samurai Deeper and Basilisk.

Ron Marz's miniseries Samurai: Heaven and Earth is damn good. As is the sequel. Ron also wrote The Path for CrossGen. CrossGen also published Way of the Rat, which was kind of like a Jackie Chan movie in comics form.

This might sound weird, but the latest arc of Star Wars Dark Times is very Samurai-ish.

Boom! Studios just released Swordsmith Assassin, I think number two comes out today.

Swordsmith Assassin
Toshiro Ono has spent his life making the best swords that have ever been forged and selling them to the highest bidder. But when his family is killed by a blade of his own making… Toshiro will do whatever it takes to make sure none of his swords ever kill again. Andrew Cosby, creator of EUREKA, and Michael Alan Nelson, creator of HEXED, bring feudal Samurai Japan to life like no other comic has done before.
