Mine would be Warren Ellis. It certainly would be an 'interesting' title then to say the least.

I love Warren Ellis (who's excited about the final issue of Planetary coming out?? ) and his comments in Wizard and depiction of her in the New Maps of Hell story lead me to think that he would not be hostile to her,

I'd love to see Warren Ellis do something for WW... as long as he uses his amazing Twitter greetings as dialogue for Dr. Psycho.
Peace.

Warren has written good Wondy out of her own book, and good analogs and riffs, too.
I'd love to see Trina Robbins back on WW full-on. Also, Melinda Gebbie would be fabulous doing writing and art. And/or, Pat Mills. Pat Mills' Wonder Woman would break your face just from reading it. And you'd say thankyou.

Judd Winnick just so he'd out a couple more amazons. Maybe Diana herself. Or talk about social issues plaging Themyscira.

Pat Mills would be a great choice, been a fan of his for years & I agree he would certainly bring a hard-edge to the character. I would also expect a guest appearance by Judge Dredd too.

How about Eddie Campbell? He did a lot of interesting riffs on mythology in his old Bacchus series.
Get Donna Barr (The Desert Peach) to write a Hippolyta-in-WW2 story.
CLAMP or Naoko Takeuchi doing a WW manga.

G. Willow Wilson.
I'd love to see all those crazy ideas she has on a character like Diana.
Also, I second Ivory Madison and Jaime Hernandez.

Brian K. Vaughn. Yeah I know he already wrote a few stories, but I'd read anything written by him.

Ellis wrote Wonder Woman (sort of) in Planetary/JLA. Seemed like a decent depiction, from what I recall. It was pretty heavily based on a WW analogue that had appeared in the regular Planetary series, along with Hippolyta and Themyscira analogues. Of note, the Amazon analogues apparently weren't immortal, but instead survived by way of cloning, and WW's bracelets could spontaneously produce a plethora of beautiful-looking weapons for her to use in battle.
Ennis wrote Wonder Woman in the JLA/Hitman story that ran on JLA: Classified a few years back. He wrote her as something of a no-nonsense hardass. I liked it, from what I can remember.
I'm trying to think of some off-beat choices to write Wonder Woman, but I'm having a bit of trouble at the moment, unfortunately (brain's not working properly, it seems). I *think* maybe someone like James Robinson would be cool.
EDIT: My bad, JLA/Hitman wasn't on JLA: Classified. It was its own two-part series, I believe.

I agree with Warren Ellis and Ivory Madison. I'd also like to see Jen Van Meter take a stab at Diana and her world sometime. Rucka should definitely come back to Wonder Woman sometime too.
Others... Matt Fraction, just to see what he would do. Brian K Vaughn would be awesome.
I think Neil Gaiman could do a remarkable job as well.

Derek Kirk Kim, Jaime Hernandez, Jill Thompson.
Wow, Jaime would be terrific.
Beto on the other hand ... well, it just wouldn't be an all-ages title, that's for sure.

G. Willow Wilson, J. Michael Straczynski.

I'm surprised no one's mentioned Colleen Coover. I'd like to see if Colleen could do something more mature than her X-Men: First Class stories. Okay, she's done 'mature' comics, but that's not what I meant!
Another candidate, Terry Moore. If anyone can do strong, realistic female protagonists, it's the creator of Strangers in Paradise!

I'm a bit gunshy with Moore after him writing Runaways.
I think JMS would be cool.

.
This would be interesting. I love Campbell's stuff, particularly his Alec work, but Bacchus was great in its own way as well. Personally, I felt the best parts of Bacchus were the times characters were just sitting around telling stories in Doing the Islands with Bacchus, 1001 Nights of Bacchus, and Banged Up, but he did have a lot of great fun action in there as well. (There's not much in the world that has made me laugh as much as when Hermes first put on "the Big Glove" during his epic throwdown with the Eyeball Kid. Kirby-esque majesty and utter ridiculousness all in one!) I could see Eddie doing a special project, a la his Batman: Order of the Beasts (which, except for the fantastic art, was pretty blah, in my opinion), but I kind of doubt we'd see any extended run out of him. His deal with FirstSecond over the past few years really gave him the opportunity to put out some beautiful looking books, and I think he's back with Top Shelf and Knockabout for the time being.
Everyone should pick up the Alec: The Years Have Pants omnibus when it comes out in a few months. Just remarkable autobiographical tales with great insight into being human, humor, and real depth. Pekar seems to get most of the love for his autobiographical work, but I think Eddie really puts him in the dust. (And I love Pekar, too.)

Mr. Prince: I was just going to say Gaiman!
Cayman: Mindy Kaling on Wonder Woman would be completely unexpected and awesome
I'm a huge fan of Mike Carey's work on X-Men (from the "Supernovas" story to "Messiah War" were my favorite Marvel comics in years) and think he'd write a great WW book.

I'd put her back in the hands of some professional medical-types.
Maybe Dr. Frederic Wertham or Dr. Seuss.
Kind of a toss-up since their work is so similar.......

You're right, Gilbert Hernandez can write adult, sophisticated material as well as lowbrow, childish material, but he can't write "all-ages".
I'm surprised no one's mentioned Colleen Coover
Ah, yes, good one. Though I have to admit that everything I've read from her was written in the same light, whimsical, fairytale-like tone, including Small Favors. I don't know if she can write in a different voice.

JMS does seem to do pretty solid fantasy, as evidenced by Thor.

As I said above the most left-field choice I can really think of by far is Garth Ennis.
