green latern or morrisons batman

ive never been a huge dc fan, i only read batman, and the old warlord series. i want to try and get into dc but dont know if i should read morrisons batman run or rebirth then sinestro corp, of latern. which is a better read?

The Sinestro Corps War is absolutely awesome.

Morrison's present run on Batman and Robin is great. His previous run is good IMO but not everyone finds it enjoyable.

I'd say read both.

Yeah Batman & Robin is a great series, and so is the Green Lantern as well. The Blackest Night has already started, but it would be a good idea to read some of the trades before BN etc

im not gonna try to caught up in countinuity so blackest night wont effect me for awhile. im tryin to fnd something that can be read alone without having to pick up many other tbps that arent lantern or batman. will i need to pick up anything besides the man tbps to understand them?

You can directly read Sinestro Corps War without reading the stuff that came before it but it would still be better if you read Rebirth.

For Batman and Robin, you don't need to read any previous stuff all you need to know is that Bruce Wayne is dead/gone/disappeared and that Dick Grayson is the new Batman.

thanks, im gonna pick up both series eventually,moneys tight, still dont know what one first though.
