So this explains Levitz writing Legion again, ummm I mean Adventure. Haha! From what I got out of the interview, there isn't going to be any major change right away, which is expected, but by the sounds of it they are going to try and rival the marketing campaigns of Disney now. That's going to be tough!

Jonah Weiland: It doesn’t sound like there will be any immediate changes editorially or across the various DC imprints like Vertigo or WildStorm?

Nelson: No, that’s not our intention. This announcement today is about the establishment of DC Entertainment and what we hope to do with our renewed focus and priority for the future. We’ll look carefully at the organization and how we’ll best integrate it into Warner Bros. and I suppose it’s possible there would be implications in that realm, but that’s not the intention going in. I don’t really see any reason for that to happen.

That part, I'm not too comfortable with. Wildstorm and Vertigo creators/readers should beware, seeing how Nelson used the word "integrate" and "implications" in not too promising a manner.

Much has been said that Warner Brothers didn't "buy" DC but were both part of Kinney under Steve Ross back in the day. It's mostly been a hands-off situation since then, but today's events seem to indicate that Warners is taking over DC for all intents and purposes.

It also said she was the one who got the right to the harry potter films and been very good with creator own products. You are putting to much into some words.

God comic book fans are fickle.

I'm happy that Paul will get to write some more and to see that he's apparently okay with stepping down as publisher and president.

I'm sure the new DC entertainment company, knowing Paul's worth, made him a good offer to get him to stay on as adviser. Still, I can't stand corporate double talk. From my own experience in the private sector, when you're eased out of an upper management job to assume an advisory role, it means :"we don't want you in that position anymore, but we need access to your experience". Or, in less diplomatic words, "you're fired. Will you stay around a bit?" It's a good thing Paul is loyal to DC comics and had planned to eventually do something else anyway...

You're right, it does, but I still don't like it. Especially when it happens to someone I respect, like Paul Levitz.
