Two big names have agreed to do FIVE WONDER QUESTIONS interviews!
Unfortunately, Greg Rucka is not able to participate YET due to his ridiculously busy schedule and the WHITEOUT premiere, but he has graciously said that he'll drop by when things calm down a bit.
Some cool art stuff coming later today!

Oh, I'll just say it.
The master, the Great One, GEORGE PEREZ has agreed to a Five Questions interview!
I confess, I am unsure what to ask him.
Got any suggestions?

Ask him when he's going to get around to doing an original WW graphic novel! Written by yourself, of course...

Geez Gail, You are full of surprises ain'tcha?
Okay, I got one: "War of the Gods". I think It's been asked before but I think there more to the story.
Was is to his satisfaction? if not (most likely) How would he have intended Wonder Woman's 50th Anniversary Event to be without all the Editorial restrictions.

George? Perez? George Perez?
Wow.
And ... no, I have no clue what to ask him, because I can't think clearly.
OK, ok -- how about this: How much did the sense of responsibility while rebooting the Amazing Amazon really have an effect on your life at the time? Was it just another job? Or was it more than that?

I think I'd ask him how tough was it to come up with the origin story again. There are some Marston things in there yet it deviates also. Was that line difficult to toe? Also how much did DC get involved with this? Were you given a clean slate to do what you wanted or were there strict guidelines imposed from the get go?

He may've answered this somewhere, but what was his reason for making Steve Trevor an old guy?
Terrific!
I'd love to know if he feels that the Wonder Woman of today is a continuation of the character he "created" or if his Diana got lost somewhere along the way.

I would be curious about Donna's exclusion from her history post-crisis. Was there a specific reason for her to be cast out of Themyscira? Trouble in paradise? Looking back on it, would anything happen differently?

Holy hand grenades.. George Perez? I want to know so many things that I wouldn't know where to begin.

Ask him what should almost be a standard question for anyone; ask him "Why do you think Wonder Woman hasn't enjoyed the same levels of success as Batman and Superman?"
I'd like to know what nearly all the DC creators think about that. (In broad strokes. If they want to make an essay out of it, that's fine, too.)

I would ask him what he thinks of the Hyppolita as the WW II Wonder Woman and if he were writing her origin today, Would he include people referring to Diana the second coming of a Wonder Woman.

Ask him if the plot of "Legacy," (Wonder Woman Vol. 2 #45) was inspired by Charlene Spretnak's book Lost Goddesses of Early Greece. When I read the comic I was struck by the similarities to Ms. Spretnak's book.

I'd like to know of any other Wonder Woman villains he would have liked to have developed in the mythos and why?
All the best...

Oh, I know! I know! In retrospect, do you think foregoing the Diana Prince ID from the onset was as good an idea as it seemed at the time--why or why not?

Since a few other big creators are currently commenting on it and think it is necessary maybe you can ask him if he too thinks current Wonder Woman needs deconstructing to examine the Marston loving submission / bondage themes. Or if she's fine just as she is.

I think you'd have to ask the collection department of DC about that.

Just ask him what kind of story he wants to illustrate for thr graphic novel you 2 are working on and then thank him for his time (maybe if you say it like it's already announced, a response of 'yes'could become a legally binding contract?)

How about "Why are you so awesome? No, really, we want to know."
Seriously though, I would love to know what in the character he most connected to as a writer.

I'd like to ask him if there's anything from his run that he regrets wasn't carried over by the creators that followed him. Meaning, a plot he left open or if he regreted the changes to the supporting cast.
And if there's any detail he can think of now that he wished he'd included in his reboot but didn't.

There is a clip of the long interview from Comics Interview(?) in the 2nd volume from the Modern Masters series that tells aboush on that. It also has some great George Perez art.
It will be cool to see if time has provided a different perspective since that time. I have a related question: would he be willing to redraw and repackage the four main books? I would love to see it done by him.
@ Gail
Is the other creator . . . Warren Ellis???? Walter Oh-My-Gawd-He-Rawks Simonson?

Fangirl squee. I love George and his intro of Diana. Made more sense to me than her running after Steve Trevor, the first man she saw.
I would like to know how George sees Diana now years into the Patriarch's world as opposed to when he first wrote her as the fresh, optimistic, almost naive girl. I mean he is like her papa...so is he happy with her evolution and are there things he would do or bring back if he could?

a)Please Gail ask him about literary influences about his work in Wonder Woman..Specialy fantasy/fiction authors.
He himself was once mentioned Raymont T.Feist but which others authors can have influenced him?
Tolkien (the Ares Agenda Saga has several tolkienian moments)? Rider Haggard? (Bana Mighdal's storyline seems to be so very full of Haggardian influences.
All the interviews made with George Pérez untill now never dealt with his literary tastes and influences. I think that this is a gap that must be filled.
b) Ask him about the first Shim'tar's identity. This is by far the most remembered mystery of his entire run together with Doutor Psycho's origin.
Ok Here's three
What's are his feelings when it comes to the introduction of the Bana Amazons such as Artemis?
Several writers have dived into Wonder Woman's origin, either adding to or in some cases rewriting what he had written. How does he feel in general about writers adding to or changing his work?
What of his feelings on Wonder Woman today, is he happy with the progress that has been made on the character?

I've always been curious about the process with Greg Potter. What in those first few issues came from Potter and would Perez have handled things differently by himself. In particular, the re-born spirits of murdered women angle seemed to have so little bearing on what immediately followed that I wondered if that wasn't primarily Potter's invention.
