Nrama: But after Blackest Night? Are you still on board Green Lantern?
Mahnke: Yeah, I'm planning to stay on Green Lantern and so is Geoff, I think. I don't see any reason to leave. It would be a pleasure to keep working with him. It's been great so far."
After the Bad News that is, that Johns and Manapul are leaving Adventure Comics. How about some good News.
All i have to ask is, where does this leave Ivan Reis after Blackest Night?

I think Reis will move to the Captain Marvel project Johns has in the works, or maybe Aquaman or even Adventure Comics.

I think any Aquaman project is probably a ways off.
The Captain Marvel thing is a possibility, though. I'd like to see him take on the new JSA spin off book! I'm not a big fan of Freddie Williams.

Aquaman's fate post-Blackest Night has been so downright ignored in any sort of interview with any of DC's big guns that it does have the "conspiracy theory" taste to it ... it's conspicuously missing from their talks about the future.
But Mahnke sticking around on GL for the time being was old news, last I heard. I really hope his run makes it even half as long as Reis' has (along with hoping Johns some day hits 100 issues). That'd be the longest, most consistent run in a mainstream DC book in years!

Ugh...not a fan of Mahnke....
His anatomy seems always off. Sinestro's forearm in the last GL issue was longer than his thigh..
Oh well, as long as Johns is still writing I'll still pick it up.

This isn't really new. When Mahnke was announced as the new artist, they (he and DC) made a point to say that this would last beyond BN.
As for Ivan Reis...........well, ADVENTURE has an opening coming up around the time BLACKEST NIGHT wraps up...

Mahnke is a Great Storyteller.
I also HATE his art stylistically, particularly his anatomy.
Reis would be my preferred artist as well...put Doug back on Superman...

Ugh. I've never been a fan of Mahnke's. Stick him on a title I'll never read.

While he's improved quite a bit since his run on Kelly's JLA, Mahnke is still no Reis. I still plan to stick with the book, but I wouldn't mind seeing him replaced sooner rather than later...

This is good news. I am definitely enjoying Mahnke's art. Although the last issue of Green Lantern wasn't exactly a knock out of the park performance artwise, GL#43 had absolutely brilliant art and I can forgive him for a little sloppiness since he has to meet the deadlines.

Mahnke's art is, imo, top 3 best at DC atm. I love his current style. His lines are great and his storytelling is brilliant. He tells a better story than Ethan and Reis is pretty boring to my eyes (opinion). Doug's close up faces and deathly expressions are class! I think he melds action superhero comics with horror maybe better than anyone at the top. Some of his shots are downright DARK! His pacing and framework in GL 43-44 was prolly the best I've seen in a while; I couldn't stop going back over the pages. I like the panels he inks the most. I just ordered his Black Atom TPB to check out some older stuff. This guy is good for DC (.)

It's Black Adam!
The writing in that mini series is powerful. Where has tomasi being hiding? I know, AS an editor in dc discovering stuff like hitman and kingdom come all those years ago.
