"Icon is that rarest of creatures -- a well-told adventure story that achieves genuine political depth. Highly recommended."
-Alan Moore (writer of WATCHMEN)

The Static trade had 8 issues, same as this one. There's a few trades that's $20 for this same amount of issues or even a lil' less.

I have little to no interest in Icon.

However....I cant deny that an endorsement from Alan Moore pretty much always means I'll give it a try.

I own the first printing of this, and I thought it was a great book. I would definitely recommend it.

Icon is the new Captain Marvel. He'll get a couple of appearances, gather a few more fans* and then DC will try to revamp him and inardvertantly destroy everything lovable about the character

* but obviously too few to get him a successful ongoing

And I try avoid buying such trades.
