I don't own a PS3, Wii, or X-Box, so I'm going to pass on the game (although I'm definitely getting the remastered CDs), but is anybody here planning on getting it?
Judging from the previews, it looks and sounds awesome.

I wasn't planning on it, but after reading some really positive reviews, I think I might.
Plus, I know next to nothing about the Beatles music, so it might be a fun place to start.
I'm officialy over the pressing buttons to make a song play genre.
But the wife wants this game hardcore.

Got my copy on pre-buy, picking it up on Wed. morning.
Birthday present for my s/o.
Considering I've spend close to $2000 on Rock Band, yes, I will buy The Beatles. However, the DLC for the Beatles to stay only on the Beatles is a major turn off. Not sure if I will buy those or not.

I've been waitng for this since it was announced! The girlfriend already understands she won't see me much this week, and if she does I'll be humming a Beatles song and twiddling my fingers.
The only downside for this week is I don't have an extra £170 to buy the remastered CDs.
Put the game on this morning and the visuals are fantastic, the song choice is varied (They miss alot of hits, but use a lot of underated songs) and some of the extras (photos, sound clips, videos) are just a Beatles fans wetdream.
Putting all this together must of cost Harmonix a small fortune, or they must have an excellent working relationship with the guys who own all the rights to this stuff.

Here's a fun anecdote about this: the producer on the project, one of my good friends, actually went to Abbey Road and sang a version of "Gimme Shelter" in front of Paul and Dhani Harrison (amongst a few other Apple Records VIPs) as a part of convincing them to team-up with Harmonix.

I'm a die hard Beatles fan, so this is a no brainer. Doubt I'll be able to buy it tomorrow though due to the fact that it'll probably be all sold out by the time I'm off work. Grrr why didn't I book the day off.

I've booked the morning off but because of Monday having been Labour Day, deliveries that would have taken place on Tuesday happen on Wednesday.
So I made a deal that after I get the game I'm coming straight to work (which is like 5 minutes away) from Futureshop - who is throwing in a copy of Hard Day's Night movie with purchase of the the big box.
So I will lieave my house on the first bus in the morning and be there early enough to be a fan and not enoug to be declared insane.
I'm bringing Honey Cheerios and John Lennon's bio and my iPod to keep me company.

I think the coolest thing about this whole game is that it is getting the Beatles music back out there in such big way and getting it exposed to the younger people who think music started with Madona and such. I love the band and even I had forgotten just how many great songs they had.

Why would it be a big deal to sing a Rolling Stones song at Abbey Road?
Oh and I cannot wait to pick up the game, although I probably won't be able to do so until the weekend.

I'm not sure why the song was chosen or who chose it, but I think it's a big deal because of the audience she had to sing it in front of. I'd wager the audience chose it.

I went to 4 stores to find the damn thing.
I've been awake since 6AM. I took the thing straight to work.
I am so sore I can barely type. And the box is there taunting me.

You're supposed to throw down your plastic instrument and scream, "I've got blisters on my fingers!" at the top of your lungs when you're done for the day.

As expected I couldn't find the limited edition bundle anywhere, which is what I really wanted. I'm tempted to just go buy Rock Band 2, and get the Beatles game separately.
