Hi,
I've been designing these models for a little while now. I've got quite a few up now so I'm trying to get word of the models out a bit more. Its something akin to 3D Fan art so theyre all Free, naturally, and I get more comments about them from Friends than I do my MightyMuggs.

http://www.xavierleo.co.uk/all.jpg

you can view and download the models yourself at http://mypaperheroes.blogspot.com/

All you need to do is Print them out on normal A4 paper (or card if you prefer)
Cover the tabs in double side Sticky tape
Then cut them out and stick them together.

http://www.xavierleo.co.uk/profx.jpg

Some get a bit complicated and fiddly, but all should be manageable without too much difficulty.

Let me know what you think :)

WOW! Thanks so much for all the great responses, I'm really glad people like them

I'm actually currently working on a Madrox, I've actually got one finished but I'm just designing a few alternate faces and arm positions for 'dupes' so that people can build a few different ones. Don't think il have enough room for more than three of them on my shelf though, its getting rather crowded as it is. Hopefully he should be up by the weekend.

It normally takes a couple of weeks to design a character, as I fit it in around work/home life and I usually have at least a couple on the go at once. Ive also got an IronMan and Nightcrawler in the works at the moment. Nightcrawlers in a crouching position so is taking longer than I thought.

I do intend on getting as many of the core X-Men done as I can eventually, including Kitty, Jean etc but I just have no idea what order they'l be out just yet..
(though I do think a Deadpool and X-23 are likely candidates for soon)

Thanks again, I'l keep you all updated on releases. If anyone makes them themselves feel free to post pictures and let me know how easy/hard it was making them.

Also feel free to post links to the site anywhere you want and with anyone you think might like them :)

I've actually updated the Jamie post now,
As well as the 3 dupes above, I've uploaded a pack with a selection of spare heads with different facial expressions on so you can mix and match them with the bodies and arm positions from the main 3 madri. (So there are 7 unique faces for Jamie, if anyone can actually be arsed to make that many dupes)

and just incase anyone was interested, I've uploaded a new picture showing all the X-Men I've made so far all put together.

I'm trying to get around to nearly everyone eventually but there are so many characters and only one lil ol me. Hisako's armour could be a worthy challenge though.

Get nothing at all :) Got google ads on it, but that doesn't even cover the cost of my host (not that thats a lot).

It started out just as a personal hobby and i shared a few pics over at SHH + put the plans up just so if anyone liked they could see them themselves. I eventually set up my blog just as an easier place to show them off to people in forums etc... but now I'm getting about 200 or so people a day on it so its grown a lot bigger than I ever thought it would.

I even know some people online who are using the bases to make their own heroes that I haven't got around too yet. Quite cool that even if I ever stopped there'd still be people online making them still

The strange part is that I started making them in the first place because I loved collecting Legends, Mighty Muggs etc, but now I make them myself I've not really felt the desire/need to buy any other models and prefer just making my own.

I guess it would be cool if I could make some money from them eventually, mainly just so that I could spend more time on them. At the moment I just really buzz off all the visitors and the comments that I get

You post here too MM? Nice, I was missin your creations over at SHH.

Lo Spoons, long time.

I still keep up on my forums (maybe not as much as i did back in the ol X-Fan SHH days) but am more of a lurker now.

Tbh, its been a gradual change, but X-Men has got a little bit mad now so I kinda come and go with the comics. To me X-Men is like the Girlfriend you date for years, and still get along with great, but you somehow miss the old her that you started dating all those years back.

Its not that magneto has joined the good guys.. it's that idealogically they good guys have caught up with him. I mean why is Mystique so bad now? what's she done that X-Force hasn't/wouldn't do? I like my heroes as heroes and to always try and find the other option rather than taking lives, Its worked for spidey or years. just cos Wolvie is "dark and edgy" doesnt mean everyone should be.

/rant over.

Yeah, the X-Verse def isn't so black&white in regards to good vs evil these days. but the "hero who's willing to kill" is popular.

I like it - reckon its a fad though and won't be a permenent part of the Xmen.

The models are awesome, my Cyclops on is great - tried to find my camera but I think its fallen down the back of the microwave or something.

/rant over.

Man, I can sympathize. Those are my thoughts exactly. Missing the good old days and getting fed up with everyone being so dang "edgy". So until Marvel gets their act together I have to settle for curling up with my old issues while listening to any playlist with Joss Stone or The Stranglers singing "What Ever Happened To The Heroes?" Haha.

But projects like yours makes my inner nerd all giddy-like, which always helps. So thanks a lot for sharing them with us!!

The only way this could be improved would be to have the Sentinel bearing down on the X-men from above.
