What if the planet Krypton never exploded, and Kal-El lived a normal life? How would that affect the DC Universe? How would that affect the Justice League, Batman,Lex Luthor, his friends and enemies, etc?????

If Krypton never exploded , Kal-El would never have gone to earth. It would like superman annual 11 - "for the man who has everything" , he would stay on krypton , have a wife and kids etc etc.

Justice league won't be affected , the post crisis origin of JLA does not include superman. Luthor , without superman as a longtime nemesis , will just be a very powerful businessman with a lot of connections since he won't have to concentrate all his time and resources to fighting superman.

Um actually post IC Superman once again became a founding member of the league so I think that would be affected as well. Also, there would have been no one to sing and defeat darkseid during FC.

Yes but as i said , a justice league without superman has been done i.e jla year one , he doesn't have to be in it.
who knows , kal-el might well have been a member of the green lantern corps though so he could have still be involved , be a hero and sing darkseid to death.

He wasn't a founding member of the JLA. HOWEVER, he, bats and wondy joined "shortly".

Anyway, a world without superman has been done in JLA: The Nail. Apparently, Carter dies, Ollie becomes a depressive paranoid freak and Batman kills Joker.

He becomes the greatest green lantern of them all.
At least according to the story "the greatest green lantern of them all:

He actually becomes born in the future and travels back in time to be a communist.

As mentioned previously, this story has been done several times. Probably a couple too many.

I've always wondered what would have happened if Krypton never exploded AFTER his parents had already sent Kal-El off through space. Even better, what if Jor-El was laughed out of the science council and no longer had the means to build another rocketship to go and retrieve his son. (Would he have become a "villian" trying to steal a spacecraft to pilot to Earth? etc...)

They sort of explored that idea in superman 93 - an zero hour tie-in.

The parents of Kal-El coming back for their son in an alternate krypton timeline. They showed superman the memories of the krypton that lives on and never exploded, his brother & such. The details are a bit hazy now since i hasn't read that issue in a long time.

I remember when that story was adapted for Justice League Unlimited. Damn I miss that show.

i reckon maybe he would have come to earth but as an adult and would be a big outsider, but maybe he'd meet Lois, fall in love and stay on earth and become Superman

The exact thing was in Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons' "For the Man Who Has Everything". Kal becomes a kind of wishy-washy geologist and marries an actress who he has a couple of kids with, and Jor-El joins the KKKK (Krypton Ku Klux Klan).

What happens on Earth isn't explained, though. That'd be more the realm of JLA: The Nail, where Superman doesn't get found by the Kents because their truck's tire pops. Basically, the DCU turns into the Marvel Universe. And Jimmy Olsen is evil.

Well for sure there'd be no "trinity", at least the one we know. They'd have to find another third wheel to fit that slot.
