Incredible Hulk Online has a good interview up with Greg Pak (http://www.incrediblehulkonline.com/gregpakinterview2.html)

In it they touch on the Skaar/Banner relationship, World War Hulks as a "world-changer" & "...the biggest emotional story ever to hit the various central characters in the Hulkiverse", the Intelligensia (who aren't just Hulk-related villains), Planet Hulk, upcoming short movie he's working on and more.

And this encouraging bit of news regarding the return of our favorite Green-hued protagonist:

IHEDO: 7. What can you tell the diehard Hulk fans like myself who are anxious to see a little bit more of the big green guy than we have in the last year?

GP:: All good things come to those who wait. There’s a plan behind all of this and if we do our jobs right, the payoffs are going to blow your minds. The goal here is to take you on a crazy journey down paths you didn’t even know existed to a destination you never imagined -- and when you get there, you realize it’s exactly where you want to be.

Lol! Greg should be working for Marvel's marketing department.

Kidding aside, I'm definitely feeling more optimistic with Greg back onboard. Looking forward to seeing where they're going with "World War Hulks".

IHEOD: Can we expect any of the PH/WWH cast of characters to be involved in the World War Hulks storyline?
GP: At least one of the characters who played a big supporting role during “World War Hulk” will play an equally big role in “World War Hulks.”

I'm really hoping it's Miek

I agree Miek would make the most sense from an "emotional storyline" standpoint.

I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that it will be Miek. Gregs dialogue with him during the Warbound Mini was excellent. He came off very sinister. I cant wait to see how he's used during WWHs.

The main reason I want to see Miek is because in many ways he's a son of the Hulk too. Everything he knows he learned from the Hulk, and look how that turned out

Yeah, and wait until Skarr learns that it was Miek who caused his mom to die.

That'll be a tempest in a teapot compared to when the Hulk finds out that the Surfer brought Galactus to Sakaar who ate both his planet and his wife (sorta).

Can you say Godhunter II?

Finally... a decent Hulk book. I can't wait for this.

And if Loeb will finally reveal that Rulk is Ross, there'll be so much emotional frustration that Banner can't help but Hulk out again

We could be writing this ourselves

Yup! Sorry, I'm not really trying to turn this into another Loeb-Bashing Extravaganza.
I'm just enjoying the fact that there is now going to be a great Hulk title whereby the main protagonist is not an obnoxious, red, hillbilly-Hulk.

Pak is so enthusiastic that I don't think he's even listening to the interviewer's questions . . .

IHEOD: Is there anything from the Planet Hulk/WWH storylines that you didn’t get to tell and want to finish off in the new book?

GP: It’s been a total blast. Jeph’s passionate, hilarious, endlessly inventive, and incredibly supportive. I should also tip my hat to the rest of the Hulk brain trust -- which includes editor Mark Paniccia, assistant editors Nate Cosby and Jordan White, writers Jeff Parker and Fred Van Lente, and artist Ed McGuinness. We had a big Hulk summit in the Marvel offices a couple of months ago that was a total blast. What I love is how many crazy risks everyone’s willing to take. We’re pushing the envelope in terms of insane action and huge emotional storylines.

Lol, I got a chuckle when I saw that too. I think he may have been dodging the question a bit there.

it's about time right? haha

can't wait to read #601 tomorrow, this looks very promising.

Hulk is actually one of my favorites of Marvel's earth heroes (i prefer the cosmic characters). it's just a shame that he's constantly victim of poor writing.

I'm not sure I'm going to pick up a hulk book with no Hulk, no matter who is writing it:frown:

i hope Pak stays on the flagship Hulk book for a loooong time to come... i'm talking chris claremont/ peter david long time. he loves the character, does great on all of the stories, and just seems like a really classy guy. imo he has become the caretakerof the hulk universe post-PAD.
