Thank god they were able to go the extra mile and pay him for actual finished art. The pencil only art on Blood & Trenches was just lazy and awful.

Honestly, awful?

I mean, I know you might not have liked the series but I can't help thinking you are being overtly dramatic.

I'm waiting for the trade and have only flicked through the issues, but the black, white and red images were striking to me, and the art anything but awful.

Anyway but back on topic, looking forward to seeing this.

Not "awful" as in bad art, just "awful" as in WTF why is this unfinished? $4 for for a book full of unfinished art? Give me a break.

It wasn't unfinished, it was black and white pencil as a style choice.

I think it worked, I thought it looked striking and different.

I really disliked the style choice.

It looked sloppy to me, especially with the word balloons inserted. Had I known that it would look like that when I ordered it online, I wouldn't have done so.
