I resorted to charity shops when cosplaying on a budget - much cheaper.

She's totally awesome. Just yesterday I chatted with her on Facebook! She agreed to help me with my piece on women and minority comic fans for Project Fanboy!

That's what I'm thinking of doing. I wanna go as Connor Hawke to the next big con I can get to, so I'm thinking of trying to hit up the second hand stores and such to see if they have some old Robin Hood gear I could mangle.
