I can't believe no one has made a topic about this yet. Anyway, here are my thoughts.
I really liked this issue. I thought it did a great job of setting up the story we're going to see over the next three issues. At my LCS I made a crack about Daredevil Noir just being "Plain old Daredevil in the '30s. My LCS's owner replied "Well, Punisher Noir is just going to be plain old Punisher in the '30s". That worried me, and I'm so glad It wasn't true.
I was a bit worried about Tieri, his Punisher related Wolverine book was absolutely terrible but I thought he did fine here. I love Azaceta's art to death, White Angels and Potter's Field are the only things I've seen from him but I've been a fan since their previews. I think his is the best art in a Noir book so far. Calero's covers are -- as always -- great and most times better than the standard one.
I can't wait for #2. The Russian, Barracuda and Jigsaw all in the same issue? Damn.
